Four Stars
I just DJ’d my first party entirely with this controller and an iPad using the DJay app (connected into my main mixer as backup). This worked flawlessly and the DJay app has so many amazing features that I tend to like better than Serato, Pioneer and Denon software/firmware. Lots to like here, a few things that I wish it had/did. What I liked: - worked flawlessly with iPad and Djay app. I used my iPad USB-C charger to power this unit and the included USB-C to USB-C cable to power my iPad and connect the signal from the iPad into this unit. - loved having hardware controls for the DJay app. I’ve been messing with this app for a long time, and I love its features and functionality. I had been looking for the best way to use it for parties, and I think this controller is the best option yet. It’s great to now have tactile control with a controller unit. - loved having headphones to monitor queue, and this unit automatically transfers the queue side into the headphones based on what’s playing vs what’s muted (awesome feature!) - solid build quality and super portable - super mappable and customizable - you can map just about anything to anything with this controller. I already customized some buttons and knobs to my liking. What I wish they’d change: - I wish this had XLR outputs in addition to RCA. - I don’t love the performance pads. You really have to firmly push them for them to work. - better QC. On my first use, one of the EFX rockers and one of the buttons stuck a bit (I’m hoping this won’t continue as I break it in). - the gain audio controls for each channel are super sensitive and don’t have the right fidelity. They would “jump” a few times when I used them with inconsistent volume control. - it would be great to have a full four channels of controls so that you don’t have to switch between the two left and the two right channels. A little better QC and proper audio outputs would take this a long way. I’d def give it 5 stars with just a few changes.

Awesome mixer controller
This is an excellent controller. Since it’s midi you can map it to use with serato Dj pro and traktor pro. Works perfect with virtual dj and it was made for djay pro. Connect a pair of denon sc2000 players and you have a complete set. Pair it up with an iPad even with the laptop and you good to go.

OK, here goes. I've had this little, portable DJ controller for a couple of weeks (shipped next-day by BAX - brilliant service!). Its excellent and its a totally different "feel" to using "regular" DJ controllers (it has no jog wheels). It takes some time to get used to all the functions and it relies on Algoriddim's DJay Pro software to beatmatch etc but if you DJ house and EDM music most of the the skills you've learned become virtually obsolete as this baby does it all for you.. all you really need to know is when to bring the next track in, unless you want to put on a performance - which is totally possible too. It solidly built and feels just as robust as a high-end DJ controller - only smaller. No XLR outputs but the RCAs work fine. Only complaint is that it doesn't power-up from a non-USB iPhone or iPad, you have to have a separate USB power source to use older Apple devices (but it has two USB slots so that's OK). USB equipped devices work fine without the need for separate power. DJay Pro is excellent, state-of-the-art software and the Mixtour Pro opens up the pro version's extended features, but you do still need a subscription to access decent FX etc. In summary, not as tactile as using CDJs or a decent sized, pro controller and it doesn't have a "club feel" so if you want to learn to DJ go for a Pioneer FLX 4 (or a REV 1 if you want to scratch or do open format) - but the Mixtour Pro is a very interesting and well-made controller offering an alternative way to achieve the same sonic results. A lot of fun to use at home and as a back-up on circuit. Only time will tell if this sort of controller and software will replace the status quo, it couldn't be more different to vinyl and its a bit of a leap from a DJ controller with static or motorised jog wheels. Its excellent value for money at under £400 and produces an excellent sound, so no real drawbacks or downsides at all. Embrace the diversity!
