works well, but a bit 'heavy' for my preference
My wife and I have both tried this to tame frizzies on the sides of our heads. We're both applying sparingly, with neither of us applying to our entire head.It does work well, but for me at least, it's a bit heavier than I would prefer. I'm not lowering the rating for that though. It's clearly says FIRM HOLD in the description and on the bottle.We both liked the scent. Vaguely citrus but not too strong. Not overly "dude-smell" which the wife appreciates.The shine isn't too bad. I prefer matte, but this product's medium shine wasn't bad at all.

A little goes a long way
I'm so happy with how well this works. Its smooths, but doesn't leave any sticky residue or clumps. I put a small bit on and brushed it through my hair in the morning on a super humid day. I needed to look good for an even presentation, and was so happy with how it held up over several hours. It has a light fresh scent that doesn't linger.

good hold without the wet look
this stuff works really well. it has a pleasant, light scent that's more subdued than the other pomades i've tried. the trick is to only dip a finger in and apply sparingly. too much and you're fighting to apply evenly.the finished result is good. it does tame my nasty double cowlick without gluing my hair to my head. the medium matte is a great compromise between the wet look stuff that makes you look greasy and the ultra matte ones that don't seem to hold well. this is a good pomade that should last a while with the recommended amount.

Like petroleum jelly, for hair
I had my kids try this out. Here their feedback. Simple but effective styling pomade. It looks and feels like petroleum jelly, but water soluble It has great frizz control. I do wash it off before sleeping. It does have that leftover substance that can get on the pillow. Make sure to wipe well. I like that it is easy to use. It can also be taken during travel. A tube would have been better than the tub.
