Worked well. Here's some info and tips.
It worked well for me. Here's some tips and info that I found helpful. I would say the bag walls are about 2 mils thick. Maybe 3? It's hard to say for sure and I'm not about to try and measure with calipers. That said, thickness is NOT the only measure of the durability of a vacuum bag. This didn't feel like it would readily rip or get a hole. If yours comes with a pinhole or a bad ziplock, I'm sure you can get a replacement free through Amazon. If you develop a hole during use, because of the vacuum nature of the bag, you can seal it with a couple pieces of clear packing tape in an X pattern. Don't use duct tape, because it will peel off over time. If you're worried about damage while you move or in storage, wrap it again in a tarp or drop cloth of a reasonable thickness. Mine did NOT come with metal D-rings on the strap. However, they were pretty heavy duty plastic, so I don't mind. However, I wish they were Velcro so that the excess would stay in place better. Compressing a full size memory foam mattress topper, I ended up with about two extra feet on each strap. It was enough to go around the roll again, but if it has been a little less it would have possibly caused one of the straps to catch during a move or something. You can also just twist the excess around the taught part of the strap, but that can come undone or bunch up. Not a huge issue. When vacuuming, make sure to position the memory foam so that it is directly under the vacuum port. This causes it to pull air through the whole mattress, getting it very compressed. I made that mistake the first time and had to redo the process, because the bag was sealing against the vacuum port and couldn't suck in any more air. Again, not a big deal. Oh, and remove any fitted sheet you have on the topper. It really blocked the air at the vacuum port more than I expected it to. I guess that should have been obvious. Whoops. You can roll the fitted sheet up with the vacuumed mattress afterwards, if you prefer, or put it with your other sheets. I recommend a shop vac for this. Most regular vacuum seal pumps won't be strong enough to fight the memory foam compression. If you don't have one, you should get one. But if that's not an option, just know that it won't compress as much. A shop vac is also strong enough that it will hold itself against the vacuum port, so if you don't have an extra person with you, you can still compress the mattress by yourself. I also recommend a piece of rigid PVC, at least 2 inches (ideally 3-4), that is slightly longer than the width of your mattress. That way, after you walk on the mattress for a bit, you can roll it along the mattress like a large rolling pin. It really helped to compress the pad about 25% more than walking alone. This part is also helpful with two people pushing on the PVC, but it's doable with one person. All in all, I would buy this again if I ever need another. I went from a mattress pad taking up a whole closet, to taking up a wide shelf. Obviously it would take up more space if it was a queen, and a full mattress instead of a pad, but the pad went from a headache to deal with, to something easily tucked away.

Works as expected. Includes the Velcro straps!
A vacuum mattress bag WITH velcro straps. Very handy. Used it on a spare queen and it's sitting upright in a closet like a rolled up mat. Easy to move around for 1 person and has been holding the compression well for the past few months. No complaints. Seal seems good so far!

Made Storing My Queen Mattress So Much Easier
I used this vacuum storage bag for a queen-size foam mattress that I needed to put into storage, and it definitely made the whole process more manageable. It’s basically like an oversized, heavy-duty ziplock bag that you slip your mattress into, then vacuum out the air. I used a shop vac, and while it didn’t compress quite as much as I had hoped, it still significantly reduced the size and made the mattress much easier to handle and transport. One of my favorite features is the set of four heavy-duty straps included—once the mattress is rolled and vacuum-sealed, the straps hold everything tightly in place. That made a huge difference when it came to lifting and moving it. Overall, this is a great product if you’re trying to store or move a foam mattress. It’s sturdy, easy to use, and definitely gets the job done. Just don’t expect it to shrink down to a pancake—foam has its limits—but it will definitely make a bulky job much more manageable.

Hooray!
If you are trying to store a giant sac, this is your solution. I never write reviews, but when I went looking for something to help me shrink and store my daughter's ultimate sack, I didn't uncover a lot of similar experiences. If you have a sack to squish, this is the way. The bag fit over the giant sack easily, with room to spare. In just a few minutes it was deflated to a portion of the size which made it easy to move, easy to store. Seals great. I expected this to be a lot of work, but it was the easiest thing I did that day. I suspect the experience would be similar with a mattress. Great product. Saved the day!

Worked great!
This storage bag was amazing! Easier to get the mattress cover in it than expected. Took a strong Shark vacuum about 15 minutes to get air out. It was comical rolling it up and getting bands around it but it stayed rolled up, traveled hundreds of miles and took up so little space. Great purchase!!

Buy some other companies vacuum bag, this one does not work
Does not work, no matter how hard you try to zipper it shut, the zipper does not hold an air leaks in, try it at least 10 different times with as many as five people trying to help me and it's still leaked air

Helped with transport of a small mattress.
Unfortunately this bag did not seal very well. We used three people to sure we used the bag as directed. We actually had the bag on a sheet, so there could be no snags. Dispute all our careful efforts, the bag did not hold the vacuum very well. We used a shop vac to suction and a person to lie on the mattress to slowly encourage the air to suction out. When it was done, it looked great and we were able to roll it up to a certain degree. ( it’s is small mattress so it rolled only so much). We were very pleased with ourselves and the product until we started to slowly see air seeping pack into the package. Atlas, the straps that held the mattress in a roll kept it together and still allowed it to be transported in an easier manner. We have used vacuum seal bags for many items in the past and they all manage to lose their seal, but this still helped with transport of the mattress.

Works Great—Handle Properly
Works well if used properly and handled with care. Pics are from after straps removed, after we moved bed/mattress. We used shopvac and results were great. Be VERY careful with the plastic when rolling/strapping/moving because it will tear. Bag is reusable but we damaged it slightly so I’ll order another one next time. We will not move a foam mattress again without using the vacuum seal bag. Saved us so much space and is much easier to handle.
