I got to try this King Chii desktop humidor. I waited a few weeks to be able give it a fair review. I wanted to get it set up and monitor it before adding cigars. I’ve had about 15 sticks in it for about a week and a half now.First impressions:1. Aesthetically pleasing2. Good quality materials3. Nice seal4. Relatively quiet5. Well-made cedar trayOverall thoughts:It’s a good 15-20 count humidor for less than $80. It would be a good starter humidor since it’s pretty much maintenance free. Keep in mind it has fans in it to circulate the air, however, it’s not a cooling system. If you live in a warmer climate, keep an eye on the temp.The only “con” I’ve experienced is with the unit’s hygrometer. This isn’t a deal breaker since it seems like the majority of digital hygrometers aren’t extremely accurate. I personally use Govee hygrometer/thermometers in my humidors with Boveda humidification packs. (I’ve read comments about the brightness of the green power light. I took a chance buying this humidor. This product was a great value. Pretty easy plug and play, nice to look at and not noisy like some of the other reviews I’ve read. However I do have one downfall. For two months I’ve had this humidor plugged in with no cigars inside do to poor humidity control. The water reservoir hasn’t dropped at all showing that humidity is not circulating inside the humidor. Now I’m stuck with something I cannot use except the shelf inside.

I bought this product in Sept of 2024. It is now November 2024. Not once has the temp or humidity been accurate. The accuracy isn’t the worst part. It doesn’t hold its humidity as it should. I’ve filled the water resivour only the first time. It hasn’t used any but a small amount if any water as of yet. When in the locked position, it dips into the low 50% for the humidity. I would not recommend purchasing this unit. I now need to buy another unit for my cigars. Waste of time and money.

After about a month the humidifier portion quit working which was, to me, the most important feature. Worked great out of the box but not much use after that. Two stars because the temp control is still working but I had to add a humidifier pad and now have to baby sit which is what I don’t want to do and why I thought this box would be nice to have.
