Este libro funciona para parejas en problemas, pero también podría ser muy útil para parejas jóves - incluso recién casados - o para parejas muy bien establecidas que jamás imaginarían cuanto mejor les puede ir. Es simple y fácil de entender. Es directo y al grano, lleno de experiencias reales con las cuales muchos nos podemos relacionar. La interpretación del Dr. Eggerich de Corintios 5:33 es muy original; su propuesta de Amor y Respeto para el bienestar del matrimonio y la pareja es la primera interpretación bíblica del matrimonio que parece tener sentido para mí. Lo mejor de todo, es que se pueden sentir los beneficios de la lectura de inmediato alrededor de la casa, en el salón, la cocina, en el jardín incluso en la alcoba (si saben a lo que me refiero!!). Todos necesitamos ser amados y respetados, pero la propuesta de Eggerich es que la clave para el funcionamiento de un buen matrimonio está en entender lo importante que es amar a nuestras esposas y respetar a nuestros esposos, muy especialmente en los momentos difíciles. It is simple and easy to understand. It is direct and straight forward, full of real life experiences which many could relate to. Dr. Eggerichs understanding of Corintians 5:33 is very original; his proposal of Love and Respect for the well being of a marriage is the first biblical approach to marriage that seems to make sense to me. Best of all, you can feel the benefits immediately in the improvement of your relationship around the living room, the kitchen, the garden, even the bedroom (if you know what I mean!!!). We all need love and respect; yet the key for a happy and well functioning marriage - Eggerich proposes - is to understand how crucial it is for women to be loved as for men to be respected, much specially during rough times. Si nosotros hubiesemos sabido lo que aprendimos despues de leer Amor y Respeto hubieramos podido evitarnos muchos minutos de nuestras vidas perdidos en discusiones estériles y faltas de comunicación en lugar de articular ser amados (ella) y respetados (yo).I married my high school sweetheart 29 years ago. We have had a very happy marriage and the blessings of 4 daughters. No doubts that marriage might become a complex and heavy journey at times, and we have faced many of the ups and downs Dr. Eggerichs portrays in his book along the way. Yet, we love each other dearly and we communicate fairly well, although sometimes just enough to endure during rough times. I found this book by mere coincidence and when I started reading I just could not stop. My only regret is to not have discovered it earlier. We are practicing catholics so we were aware of Corintians; yet, it never occurred to us to approach it with Dr. Eggerichs' perspective. Tan pronto como mi esposa encontró nuevas maneras de poner en práctica los conceptos de Respeto expuestos en el libro, yo me encontré sin darme cuenta lavando platos y limpiando cosas que en 29 años jamás había hecho y solo me di cuenta cuando la ví a ella reírse por horas (así de delicado e inmediato es la propuesta) y hemos encontrado nuevas formas de comunicarnos en la intimidad de nuestra habitación. Seguro entenderán lo que os digo cuando lo leáis.Best of all, you will have a lot of fun. As soon as my wife found new ways to put into practice how to apply the concept of respect explained in Love and Respect, I indadvertedly found myself washing dishes and cleaning around for the first time in 29 years, so she laughed for hours at my expense (that's how delicate these teachings worked for us) and we have found incredible new ways to communicate while in the intimacy of our bedroom. You will understand what I mean when you read it.I cannot wait my wife to finish the book so we both start with the exercises in the workbook of Love and Respect!!

EXCELENTE LIBRO, el mejor y único libro (adicional a la biblia) que vas a necesitar para tener un matrimonio sano , duradero y que te brinde paz y felicidad. La clave es leerlo con intención y estar dispuesto a hacer exactamente lo que el libro dice y recomienda, dejando atrás el egoísmo y la soberbia. Obediencia completa y garantizo que TODOS y cada uno de los tips que recomiendan que tienen un fundamento bíblico 100% FUNCIONAN.

Es muy bueno. Me ayudó muchísimo a entender el respeto que tengo que tenerle a mi esposo.
