Unfortunately the stone was slightly damaged as it was not protected during shipping and sent in a plastic bag then in a Amazon bag the pressure of other packaged caused damage to the cutlet of the stone no doubt the travel was from Michigan to Canada other then that and a windy day on delivery that sent me looking down the road to find it blown away into my neighborhood bush the stones very nice has a beautiful shimmer

The gem is fake, tanzanite should be trichromatic and change colour when viewed at different angles, this gem exhibits no colour change, even when compared with a real tanzanite sample, 1 out of 5 stars

The 10mm x 10mm works very well in a ring. The one I received has lovely color, no visible flaws but, under the loupe, a barely visible imperfection on one of the girdle edges. I will have no reservations in using this stone. Set in white gold, framed with small diamonds, this is a knockout piece.

For this price point, even being synthetic, this is a great value. Excellent color and luster and definitely looks like tanzanite as opposed to a lot of other cz synthetics which look like glass
