Impossible to use for colostrum!
It is impossible to use this to collect colostrum! 1. "sterilized" containers smell like plastic 2. colostrum is more viscous than milk or water, so collecting it from the nipples is very difficult. 3. Be prepared that you will only be able to collect half of the volume.

This is my second baby, due soon. With the first, collecting colostrum in the little purple syringes was quite difficult but this time I was able to quickly fill in the 4 ml Hakaa syringe. I will sterilise and bring a couple of those to the hospital with me!

These Haakaa Colostrum Collector Syringes were such a lifesaver when my son was born! He struggled to latch initially, so having these syringes made it easy to collect and feed him my colostrum right from day one.
