I bought this torch as backup while my victor torch got repaired. It was being used to cut drill pipe into corral posts. It would cut three post, then shut off while another pipe was screwed together and measured out. About 2-2.5 hours into its first day of use, it started combusting the gasses inside the head of the torch instead of at the torch tip like it's supposed to. I bought a new tip from our local welding supply, but it made no difference. The torch would ignite and work for 10-20 seconds until the head got smoking hot, then snuff itself out. This torch might be ok for someone that only uses it once in a while for a couple minutes each time. Definitely not for someone that actually uses a torch all day long.

We got this for some small and light jobs on the farm, and that is what it will handle. We've all used it, and we all agree that it is a good basic starter kit and does the job. It is not as robust as a more professional one is, but then again, this is not priced as a professional kit. We've had no problems or issues with clogging, and it has done everything we've asked of it.

The torch handle threads for the acetylene are right hand not left hand like they should be but the check valve fits so it ends up being ok but it's still "funky".
