It needed a fiber connectors to make it work
It was just the one piece you didn’t have the connectors for fiber with it

Very cheaply built.
Not a good product. Very poorly built. It fell apart in about a week.

Helpful, basic tool
I am just starting to learn about fiber testing, just happened to need this on a job yesterday, so great that I had just received it and grabbed it before I left. The batteries/power/charging is confusing. My laptop USB C charging cable doesn't work on it but other cables do work. The instructions that come with it says that lithium batteries can be charged via the USB C port but lithium batteries are not normally rechargeable. So, not sure if it means lithium-ion batteries which are rechargeable. It does work on regular AAA batteries.

It does work pretty good and does what it needs to
If you just need a simple basic fiber optic tester that's not going to break the bank this test receives to do the job I did do some fiber testing with it at work and it does seem to work pretty good as to how accurate it is I do not know but I do know the cables I tested did test fine with a three grand fiber tester than I have at work since I work in the IT field and have about 20 mi of fiber optic cable at work but sometimes you just don't want to bring out a big bulky tester for something that only takes a second to do a quick test on overall fairly happy with it will update if I have any issues down the road.
