It is the fruit of the acerola that is used in medicine, it is famous for its high vitamin C content. Acerola also contains vitamin A, thiamine, riboflavin, and niacin. Acerola is native to South America but is now grown in many parts of the world including: West Indies, North America & Asia - origins can vary by supply.
