How does this compare to the case that's provided with the phone?

The case's look the same however the Spigen case has air cushion for that extra bit of protection. The Spigen case feels a bit more sturdy.

Does this case go yellow over time?

All the clear cases I've had seem to do that. Despite cleaning them regularly

Erm, no! Lol! Its a protective phone cover! Put a cut out in it for a strap & its no longer a protective cover....
