Does this microwave well?

No. Do not microwave it. I have done so in the past and it becomes like cement. Slowly cooked and stirred with plenty of milk and some butter for the best results!

Is this the same as Maltabella ?

This product uses the same grain as Maltebela but is courser and does not have Malt. I enjoy the taste anyway, the instructions are different and I cook it out using the water ratio specified but then add milk, sugar and butter. Also goes well with almond or oat milk, add salt as you cook out for best results
