Q: Why is the one with the pump cheaper than the one without, even though it's both moisturizing cream?

My mom just went to dermatologist who was supportive of my purchasing vanicream. Derm said it is excellent and that is our experience as well. In the past I've always purchased the pump lotion. Derm said best to buy in a container (tub) as the ingredients are "better" in tub versus pump. Pump has ingredients that make it easier to dispense which dilutes. I'm guessing it costs more for tub because you are not getting the extra or more ingredients to make it easy to pump. Hope this makes sense.

Q: Why is the product of eight dollars in Amazon and 4.95 if I order directly from the manufacturer? It’s almost double.

I just looked, to order direct from Vanicream you have to pat Shipping which is $7, so If you have Prime and shipping is free, its close to the same price.

Q: Does it have any stearates in it?

Ingredient Purified water, petrolatum, sorbitol, cetearyl alcohol, propylene glycol, ceteareth-20, simethicone, glyceryl stearate, PEG-30 stearate, sorbic acid, BHT.

Q: Is Vanicream tested on Animlas?

No animal ingredients and no testing on animals per the Vanicream website.
