Totally useless for education in the UK - shame as it would have been excellent value for money otherwise. Now I'm all for foreign languages being learnt at an early age but I would also like him to learn the English names for countries as well.It would have been very helpful to have known which language this globe was printed in before I bought it, a fact that I think Amazon should take note of. Not true. All the country names are written in German as this is a German globe. This is not mentioned anywhere in the item description. Needless to say, it was too close to my mums birthday to send it back.One other thing, the item pictures show the piece round the edge of the globe with the degree markings written on as what looks like polished or brushed aluminium.
