I haven't tested it on glazes yet, but I did check the calibration in water (accurate), and I'm very pleased with its readability and ease of use. It came in a sturdy plastic storage tube with foam on both ends to encase the hydrometer, so I'm relieved that it's pretty portable too. It doesn't work with a standard 250 mL grad cylinder because it's four inches too long. And I could use a 500 mL cylinder but that is so incredibly wasteful for actual scientific use.
