Fun game and good price
I think this is well built for the price. Sure there are more expensive and higher quality units. But for the price, this one is well built, plays well and well made. I like the pegs in the center that have protective rubber on them that makes play very nice. We've played it for several weeks now and have had no issues and really enjoy it. I only wish they made a cover or bag for storing as the game is a little large (it's standard size as it should be). But very pleased with the purchase and would recommend to anyone wanting to start or learn how to play Crokinole. I will say the game instructions are "ok" but you can go online and get the additional instructions. In reality the rules are fairly simple and found online instructions to be a tad more clear.

It Works, but Terrible Quality Control - UPDATED
UPDATE: I have altered my original 3-star review to 5-stars due to the quick response by the company to satisfy my issue. Mistakes get made, and the real measure of a company is how it rectifies the ones it makes. In the future, I would not hesitate to purchase from them again. _________________________________________________________________________ After playing Crokinole for the first time with a friend over the holidays, I decided to get a board for myself. As a new player, I didn't want to spring for one of the high-dollar versions, so I ignored the negative reviews and gambled on buying this one. On the plus side, it works. After waxing the surface and chips, my son and I spent an hour playing several decent rounds. I have no complaints about the utility of the product. It is the quality control that was shockingly awful. As seen by the photos, two of the wooden edges surrounding the gutter looked like they had been repeatedly hit with a hammer, not only creating an unappealing aesthetic, but also creating a splintered surface that can catch the waxing cloth. The center board was also poorly glued in place, as the adhesive seeped under two sections, again creating an ugly look to what would otherwise be an attractive design. The damage was clearly done while at the factory because not only did the shipping box not contain any damage, but the board was still in the original styrofoam and plastic bubble wrap upon opening. I would certainly not purchase from this company again if this is the lack of quality assurance performed by them. I did not bother asking for a refund because, apart from the aesthetic damage, the board itself is playable, and I did not want to go through the hassle of demanding a return or refund.

A quite good middle-of-the-road product
Quite a good entry-level crokinole board. As long as you get lucky with the adhesives and construction. I did, so I’m giving almost 5 stars. A couple things added up to losing one star, including the pegs not being perfectly straight, and lots of glue residue on the backside and few small gaps here and there. If they could improve their quality control, they could hit five stars with this product. I highly recommend applying a spray carnauba wax!!! Spray and rub it into the board and the pucks!!! The game becomes super fast!! Not quite like the professional professionals, though, who have extremely slick playing surfaces and pucks. But still really good! I also like the bounce action off the silicone tubing - wrapped pegs. It is reminiscent of my pinball play days. And I like that the pegs can never fly out. Even though the pegs are not perfectly straight, that does not seem to affect gameplay at all. You could certainly do worse, or better, than this product. I think it hits the middle of the road pretty solidly. The main thing is: it looks nice, plays great (after applying wax) and will certainly be good for many years of gameplay.

Excellent for the price
If you are at all curious about the game, I think this is the cheapest way to get into it, and it's very fun. The craftsmanship isn't excellent but it still looks good. I was missing a single black button making the numbers not symmetric and the alternative buttons I bought are much more slick, so I recommend getting other buttons and some spray wax to make the board extra slick. I highly recommend it.

Almost a Great Casual Board
I knew at the price point this wasn't going to be spectacular, and that was okay with me. I just wanted a board to try this game out after a long time drooling over it. The face of the board is nice. Around the exterior of the play surface you do see some sloppy glue work, but not a major concern. The lip around my board, meaning like the outer border, definitely could have been protected better in shipping. Quite a few dings and dents visible. The discs are ok. I have at least two that have big dents in them, which were there before shipping because they are painted over (on the black ones). Biggest complaint/concern I have is that after a couple games, one of the screws just popped right out and went flying. I screwed it in gently just with my fingers, assuming it just wasn't firmly attached, but probably two hits later and it goes flying again. I looked a bit more closely and the screw hole is a mess. Not sure if maybe somehow that particular screw got banged or something in the package, but you can see the screw doesn't have a whole lot to catch on to. I debated getting a different screw but honestly I'm not sure what I would do with it, in fear it would either do the same or would be too long and pop up the bottom, as I am not too sure how much depth there is to screw it in for it to catch. I ended up using a small dab of wood fill, and then when I screwed it in I cut the rubber layer a bit so it wasn't pushing too much pressure on the screw head. So again, for the cost this was pretty good, but definitely some cheapness to it all, and quality control seems to be a bit lacking.
