Just so you know what I personally need in a monitor: I am not a hardcore gamer. I mostly use my PC for work (office work so lots of Word and PDF docs), web browsing, and some basic streaming (Netflix, Max, Disney+, etc). Between my 15-inch laptop screen and hours of reading and editing text documents, I have a fair amount of eye strain. For a while I have wanted to upgrade my home office experience by adding a large second monitor. I did some research, and a fair amount of people recommended using a curved monitor for the type of work I do. So, over Thanksgiving, when I saw this monitor on sale for less than $100, I decided to pull the trigger, based on not just the price (although certainly a factor) but also the overall the brand Philips and, most importantly, the fact that the monitor was overall very well reviewed here on Amazon. I have only been using the monitor for a couple of days, it has - in that short period of time - not only met but exceeded my expectations. Setup was very easy: it only took me a couple of minutes to unbox and assemble, and connecting it to my laptop (using the included HDMI cable) was plug and play-simple. Again, I’m not the person to ask about a detailed assessment of a display’s graphical abilities, given the aforementioned ways I use one, but the display certainly meets my needs: it’s bright, the curved display is aesthetically pleasing, and the assortment of videos I’ve watched on YouTube and on streaming have looked quite good when played in HD formats. The monitor itself definitely provides a little bit of flair to my setup while still looking professional. The monitor is also a nice combination of sturdy yet lightweight, and the stand it comes with is both simple and uncomplicated while remaining easily adjustable. The only thing I would note (and which several other people mention) is that while the monitor apparently has internal speakers, they are not really independent and pretty much (I believe) act as pass through for the underlying computer’s audio setup. Again, this isn’t a criticism: just an observation in case anyone needs their monitor to also handle sound. In conclusion, I give this monitor high marks all around - especially if, like me, you are in tbe market for an upgrade of your laptop display and/or you want a second monitor that is curved, budget-friendly, and is not needed for high-end graphics.

Looks great, but make sure you try sRGB mode in options - when I first received it, the colours looked dull but I changed it to sRGB and everything looks better. I think it must have been off by default to meet some kind of power consumption standard. Also worth noting the viewing angle is rather tight but that's normal for a curved display. It looks better when you are a certain distance from the screen.

Written from the perspective that I use this for work for programming not gaming. This is not a gaming monitor at all and my intent is work only. Me: Programmer, 52 with bad vision, very particular about my mouse, keyboard and mouse and even mouse pad. . Monitor is used 8-10 hours a day. For a baseline I have an additional 32 inch that is in a different class (costs: $950) I use for gaming. There is no comparison so I will review with purpose/use in mind. Use: - Microsoft Visual Studios and SSMS (all day) - VIM editor - Office 365 - Email, Word, Excel all extensively. - Web browsing for deep research. This is what I observed: - The words and images are crisp - Screen can brighten or darken easily - Screen controls/ease of use - Connections are limited. - Eye strain is minimal - Incredible value for the money - Fit and finish is really nice. It’s not high end finish like some of the fancier models, but what I am using it for it is perfect. My office buddies are jealous and they are all buying one. They cannot believe the price! I was reluctant because the price was low and I thought I may end up regretting (like a cheaper m type mechanical keyboard I threw in the trash.). I have not tested watching video on it or gaming. Unless you use for high end stuff, you most likely won’t regret the purchase.
