Safety Rail Dog Whelping Box - 19 in. High, Perfect for Large Breed Dogs and Puppies

I originally bought a wooden whelping box from another manufacturer and it was the worst experience ever. It was flimsy, cheaply made, and the dogs chewed thru the spindles. This product is sturdy, easy to put together, cleans easily, comes with pads the size of the box, and it doesn’t slide all over like the other one did. I love that you can connect more boxes to it. When you buy the 2 room box you get one side with solid walls and the other side with spindles so the pups can see out. I just wish that when you chose the 1 room option that you got to choose which room (solid walls or spindles). Overall I’m happy to be able to confine my Maltese, they love the space and it was very well worth the money.

This box worked extremely well for the whelping of our puppies and keeping the puppies contained afterwards. I love that the height is adjustable by how many boards you place. It was relatively easy to build - and well worth the price! Other reviews mentioned plastic screws but ours came with metal ones so it should be easy to take apart as well. The material is super easy to clean and the mats fit easily in the washer too. Overall very pleased with this product!

Let me start by saying it looks like this item was already used which makes me quite mad because I didn’t spend almost $300 for a used product. There are literally paw prints on some of the pieces and I have found at least 3 that are broken so far. It says it’s supposed to come with 2 of the puppy pads, it only came with one. Every single piece is coated in some sort of black powder. The 5th picture is of a Clorox wipe that I used for only ONE piece of the box. It is going to take me forever to wipe all these down enough to feel okay with using it. Also to top it off, no directions were included. I have no idea how I’m supposed to put this thing together and I have absolutely no idea what the big black piece is for since there is no black piece in the picture. Over all not worth the money that I spent, you can find a better box for a lot cheaper.

You get this massive box of pieces, no instructions, aaaand it was missing 1 little piece so puppies could escape which kinda defeats the purpose! I had to get creative with that one. And pieces chip and break sliding then together. And it's only good while puppies are really little. After that they just climb out. Honestly I should have spent the $200 on building materials and just built my own.

Easy to assemble. Really like fact that you can keep it short or build it taller. We were able to add height as the puppies grew. Love the water proof pad. We ordered extras and are glad we did.

Love this whelping box. So easy to clean. Bleach doesn't faze it. Perfect for my litter of shelties. I would love to see one with a bottom to it. To "contain" the puppy mess. But definitely recommend this above the higher priced ones out there.
