All of this material is in the pubic domain!A few of the illustrations are missing but most are there. Great reading and well worth the small price - very hard to find info.One can assume that the only part of the book that would qualify for a copyright is the book cover. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ 4.0 out of 5 stars Interesting *by M***Y on Reviewed in the United States on June 22, 2022* First, I would like to say something about the book itself. As mentioned in other reviews, the Tesla's articles are public domain, however, it is nice to have them in one volume. This is where the added value of the book is. On the other hand, the Kindle version suffers from poor typesetting - e.g. often commas and dots are misplaced. Moreover, Tesla sometimes refers to figures which are not included in the book.Now on the content itself. I one sentence, it is amazing reading. Tesla's articles very nicely show initial steps with the very first medical screening method. Not only the main purpose of the X-ray tubes is dicusses but also their technical construction is presented. I personally enjoyed Tesla's contemplating about the nature of X-rays. This shows how difficult a way to knowledge could be. According to Tesla, X-rays had to be a matter particles. In some sense, he was right because high energy EM radiation behaves rather like particles stream than waves, although some wave properties are preserved. We have to bear in mind that the articles had been writen in 1896 and 1897, i.e. 3-4 years before foundation of quantum theory was laid by Max Planck. Besides the historical value of the articles content, they are also interesting illustration how academic writing changed in last century.To sum up, any fan of history of science will find the book interesting. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ 4.0 out of 5 stars Great book for having more than a hundred years *by A***R on Reviewed in the United States on August 11, 2010* Although it has been more than a hundred years since Tesla wrote it, It's still interesting and it gives more details that many of more recently written books.
