As someone who's only worked with diode lasers before (I have an Xtool 20 watt), the Gweike G2 Plus 20W Fiber Laser was a bit of a game-changer for me! I decided to take the plunge into fiber specifically for its ability to deeply engrave metal, and based on numerous reviews highlighting its excellent value and performance, the G2 Plus seemed like the perfect entry point. The setup process was surprisingly easy. I did have a minor hiccup with the packaging – I couldn't immediately locate the thumb drive containing the software. However, once I finally found it tucked away, the software installation and overall system setup were very straightforward. I initially experimented with the included Glaser software, but conveniently, Lightburn released an update around the time of my purchase that added support for the G2. Since I was already comfortable with Lightburn, the transition was seamless. The biggest part of the learning curve, as expected, has been dialing in the optimal settings for different materials and applications. Whether I'm aiming for a light surface engraving, cutting through thinner stock, or achieving a deep, permanent mark, it takes some experimentation to find that sweet spot. My first attempt at deep engraving on a coin blank actually went a little too well – I accidentally cut through in a few spots! This just goes to show the power this little machine packs. Overall, I'm incredibly impressed with the Gweike G2 Plus. It's a solid, well-performing machine that delivers fantastic laser engraving results. It's a significant leap in capability compared to my diode laser and has more power than I initially anticipated. If you're looking to step up your engraving game and want to work with metals, this fiber laser is definitely worth considering. Highly recommended!

This machine and this company deserve a review. I purchased the 20W model and received it. Had some issues with the power supply and contacted the company. Instantly, they set me up on a chat with several techs. They troubleshot and sent me a new machine within days. I upgraded to a 30W machine and it runs flawlessly. I had some more tech questions to improve speed and they answered them immediately. Buy with confidence. Any company can have issues, but it’s how they react and correct the problem is where the true value is. I also have a 6000W laser coming from Gweike as well and the service so far has been fantastic. What else could you ask for? Quality product and service for a fair price.

My G2 Arrived ahead of schedule, and was well packed. Set up was very easy a few screws and a few plugs. The machine comes with a USB with software, config and drivers so you can setup lightburn or the included software. I went directly to lightburn and did not try the software included. Lightburn setup was easy, and there are some quick videos that are referenced with a QRC in the setup guide that you can follow. I did need to pause and rewatch the video a few times to see all the steps the demonstrator was doing, but it all worked. I was etching my first images in about an hour from opening the box. This is my first laser engraver so I have a lot to learn about the wide range of settings this unit is capable of, and I've made a few failed prints as I try to do deep 3d engraving, im sure its user error with settings and focal point. Overall the unit seems to do what its claims, There's a phone app for using the included software as well, which looks like it has some preset settings that would make it easier for beginners. While using this unit is not overly complicated I would say being familiar with LED lasers, or even 3d printing will give you a step up on someone starting from scratch. So far Im very happy with the purchase. Customer service sent good communication when the item shipped, and I let them know it arrived, I had one question about, what sounded like, a loose screw inside the housing but the machine is working perfectly. The customer service answered very quickly and offered after purchase customer service to review any concerns. I was impressed to get an email from the company when the item had shipped, and how quickly they responded to my feedback question. - The unit does need to be connected to a computer or (your phone) and it comes with a few sample metal cards you can test engrave with.

Excellent machine for my small Handmade Jewelry business. A short learning curve at the beginning but then I was able to get some pretty decent impressions in stainless steel.

Very great laser machine. I recommend getting this machine, it has helped me a lot with my newest projects, it is very potent.

laser burned out after 20 minutes

I bought the machine a few months and it’s been great so far. Customer support after through whatsapp has been good also. I’ve tried other more expensive engravers and returned a couple until I got this. Definitely recommend!

Great laser with great seller. Fedex lost my shipment, but the seller eventually made things right. The laser works great. It was very well packaged and seems very well built.
