Much better V7 filter. HEPA quality. NEVER cleaned the old filter! My bad.

I believe these stick vacuums tend to get smelly bc they don’t have a HEPA filter. This fixes that but it does take away some of the suction power. Also, the converter part of the fixture set was not removable after I installed it so be sure you want that attachment.
