I cleaned and sanded galvanized metal, and the solder beaded up.

Easy to put on and cleans up just as easy

I am rather new to stained glass work so I am by no means an expert in this matter however, I gave this stuff a shot and it worked real well for me. I was able to make the solder run real smooth and even around sharp turns and corners which for what ever reason give me the most grief. I used this like several others that I have watched on you-tube and applied it with a brush on the burnished surface and the solder ran great and I was able to achieve that machined type look with out many re-do's. My overall impression is this is pretty good stuff and when what I have is gone I will likely purchase more of this exact brand it works that well. The price is good and if you want to give it a shot for yourself and see if you get the same results that I did. Thank you for reading my review.

I have been interested in trying to make stained glass for ages and am gathering up supplies to finally give it a try. Flux was on my supply list so I was very happy to see this come up for review. I have almost got everything I need, but I am still a few supplies short.The flux that I received arrived well packaged in a sealed bag that would have contained any leaks if they had happened, but there were no leaks. The liquid moves well inside the bottle and is not thick or chunky and does not look dried out. There's a safety seal over the opening of the bottle inside the cap. I've never used flux before and cannot compare this to other brands, but it looks like the product photos and came with a brush. The brush is not the highest quality, but it isn't falling apart or shedding bristles.I will try to remember to update after I have all of my supplies and try my hand at making stained glass. I'm planning on making a narwhal suncatcher for my 1st project.

This arrived quickly and in good condition, and from reports works well. We haven't used it yet, but will during our projects that we take up in the Fall -- and looking forward to it.

This flux is very thin and requires constant reapplications as you try to get the solder smooth. For stained glass it is not workable. If you are doing spot wire attachment, it would be great because it does not allow pooling of too no much solder.
