These are good under the bed or in a closet to prevent mold and were sufficient in mild humid conditions. However, in my new apartment where humidity reached 80%, I ultimately had to buy an actual dehumidifier machine as these boxes barely made a difference.

The body is not transparent, so you won’t really know if it is already full and ready for replacement.

These do work. I suggest placing them in a deep tray or plastic bag. When they crack on the bottom, and they will, cleaning up the mess is not fun. The fluid is sticky and oily and hard to get off your floor and whatever else it's on. Beware.

I use these in all my cupboards and rooms as I live in a high humidity area and it has prevented mold build up that usually occurs on shoes, clothing and other items

You can't see the water at all. You have to use a flashlight to illuminate it. It doesn't collect water well.
