I love it!
Th Bosch Cool 2000 Portable AC is brilliant! HERE'S WHY YOU SHOULDN'T GO FOR A CHEAP BRAND: I had previously bought a cheap one for sub £200. That was a waste of time as it sounded like a pneumatic drill and didn't give out anywhere near enough cold air for it - it struggled to cool the room down. HERE'S WHY YOU SHOULD CHOOSE A BOSCH: To cut through the confusing world of all the options out there, I just decided I would go for a reliable brand and spend considerably more money - Bosch was my choice and it has 100% been worth it. I only needed the smallest one as the room I want to cool down is quite small. It looks slick, it pumps out cold air in abundance. As air conditioners go it's quite quiet - I mean, obviously it does make some noise, but it's soothing white noise (a bit like the sound when you're on an aeroplane). If you want a reliably excellent portable air con unit and have the budget, my advice is look no further

Hot
This has been a god send for the old lass( my mother) she’s not in the best of health and to have a remote control to cool her with one press of a button is perfect. When you’re as hot as she is ( I mean get as hot as she does ) it’s perfect. No getting up to switch fan on / off… then back on … then off…. You get the idea 👌

A good buy. Good build quality.
Overral a good buy. Well packed, good quality and easy to poerate. Worked out of bax, cooled the room very quickly. Given the use of Airconditions before abroad this is quiet and easy to operate.

Very disappointing.
Disappointingly poor. It barely made any difference to the room temperature. Although set on maximum blow at the minimum possible temperature setting of 19 deg C, all it could manage, after a whole hour of being on in a small 3m x 2.5m room, was a pathetic drop from 24.5 deg C to 22.5 deg C. As good as useless when used in the middle of a summer heatwave. Expected better from a Bosch product being sold at a premium price. Was returned for a refund.

Be aware if bought for the UK, YOU HAVE NO WARRANTY!!!
I bought this product after considering several options but ended up returning the product as it was impossible to register the product and activate the 2yr warranty...... read on. The Bosch Cool 2000 is a well known 'premium' brand name, quite expensive when considering the alternatives and said to come with a 2yr manufacturers warranty. After the delivery I tried to register the product, firstly on the internet - no joy; then by calling Bosch customer services - no joy. During the call to Bosch Customer Services (Home appliances),the agent said they were unable to register the product and passed me to Bosch Home and Garden. They said they were also unable to register the product but offered to pass me to Worcester Bosch (who do air con) and a very helpful lady there also tried to register the product. She couldn't either and offered to look into the matter properly and call me back. After about an hour, true to her word, she called and explained that the product is meant for the German market and was not meant to be sold in the UK. Despite her best efforts and after she took advice from Bosch Technical and Marketing, she informed me that there was no way for her to register the air con unit for me and consequently their was no warranty. Inevitably and having spent £500 on the unit, it wasn't acceptable to me to have no warranty and so it was returned through Amazon for refund. I've since bought a different brand name air con from a high street shop with a full 2yr warranty.

Good
Before buying my main concern was loudness. And even though it has “quiet” mode and also 3 speeds to choose from, it sometimes kicks in high and loud gear even when cooling is set on “quiet” or lowest speed. But… I cant really say it’s unbearable. We have mainly bought it to cool bedroom down for our 8m/o daughter, she seems to be ok with the noise, as we are too. On a hot and stuffy afternoon you just don't really mind it, a bit like white noise. Also had to buy longer hose (2m), as this one would not fit our needs (provided hose is ~1.5m), and had to 3d print suitable fitting for hose as provided one is only suitable for typical windows that lift up. Overall i give this device 4.5 stars. Would be five if remote controller buttons would be visible at night, now can only see screen but not buttons. And also those random high gear high speed moments..

Noisy and heavy
Bosch brand general quality is clear in this product. It arrived well packaged, and it looks sleek and is fairly compact for the technical specifications and capability of the unit. One on the main selling points is that it’s wheeled and portable, but practically speaking, only across one floor. It’s heavy, so carrying it upstairs is not a quick job. If your bedrooms are upstairs, or you want to use it across floors, then consider if this works for you. Also, I say it’s portable for its use as a dehumidifier or a fan, but to use as AC, you would need to invest time and resource to duct it (using the enclosed kit) in a permanent place, to be most effective. If for example, you open a window to have the pipe hanging out, you let hot air into the room, defeating the object! So again, a consideration if you want to mainly use it as an AC. The control setting panel is easy to understand and to use, and the remote control is a handy feature. On full blast, it is noisy, as expected, less so on sleep mode of course, but if you need total silence to get to sleep, then the noise level may still be too high. I found it okay, but it could be irritating if you struggle to get to sleep! It is clearly a good quality product but consider if the level portability and AC ducting for full benefit are suitable for your needs. I would essentially use this as a powerful fan option on a hot day.
