Bought this kit to gild a Christmas gift. Took some practice to get the application method down but there are plenty of 'gold' leaf sheets to practice with and I still had a lot left over after applying about two square feet of gilding. Very happy with the outcome

The gold foil is beautiful and adds a stunning, shiny touch to art projects! The color and finish are exactly what I wanted. My only issue is that it’s a bit tricky to work with and requires patience to apply smoothly. Once you get the hang of it, though, the results are gorgeous. Great quality overall and worth using for special art pieces.

My husband chose this antique clock among his Mother's possessions after she died. It is 1906 based on the cast date on the item. I found a new clock mechanism that fit it and wanted to do something to make it stand out. I saw some videos on gilded projects and decided to try that. I still have to seal it so it won't oxidized, and peel off the painters tape on the glass. My husband likes it, so that is what is important. As a beginner I followed instructions and videos and had more than enough product to cover front & back.

The Yeardera Gold Leaf Kit is a nice starter set for small projects. The gold leaf sheets look good once applied, and the adhesive and varnish work well with a little practice. However, the leaf sheets are very delicate and can tear easily, making them tricky to handle. Also, the adhesive takes a while to get tacky, so timing can be frustrating if you’re new to gilding. Overall, it’s a decent kit for basic crafting, but not ideal for larger or professional-level projects.

Perfect kit for a small project or to try out leafing

I purchased a used Bombay chest that had a gold top with flowers painted on it. It had a few spots that were damaged or missing, and this kit was just what I needed. With both gold foil and gold paint, I was able to make quick work of those repairs.
