After years of being cold sore free I ended up with one during could/flu season. I didn't want to use Abreva due to it giving the obvious white cast on the lip, I also remember having to reapply often and didn't want that either. Because of the benzyl alcohol it will sting! At least for a good 5 to 10 seconds. As it's stinging the area turns white. It creates a bioadhesive after drying for 30 to 60 seconds that helps heal the cold sore and manages pain that comes with the blistered cold sore. I use less than a pea size amount and protects for hours. Bought it last Friday and my cold sore is close to being healed!

I cannot say enough positive things about this cold sore treatment. Within a week my multiple cold sores were gone. That NEVER happens. This worked better for me than any prescription treatment. It did burn slightly, but the burning sensation did not last long. If you suffer from miserable, embarrassing cold sores, you need this treatment. A tiny drop is all it takes. This tube will last a good, long time!

It actually works! I tend to get cold sores like every year and I have used abreva. But this works even faster! Now fair warning it does burn as soon as you put it on but once you get past that it just does its thing. The best part is that it dries clear as opposed to with abreva where you can just see it.

Hard to but great product!!

I am a dental professional I was told about this from a colleague when I mentioned I had a canker sore. I was shocked that my cold sore went away within 2 days of using it! I use it on my kids as well as recommend it to my patients. Does it burn a little when applying it on the first day- yes, but only for a few seconds. It creates a barrier which helps give relief. By day two you'll notice a big difference and by day three it's pretty much gone. I really wish they sold this in stores, but since they don't I stock up on it. I keep one in our medicine cabinet and another in the emergency kit that we take on our trips just in case.
