Stainless Steel Spaetzle Maker Lid with Scraper Traditional German Egg Noodle Maker Pan Pot Spaghetti Strainer

I like this better than the kind that looks like a grater with a sliding box. Those kind are of varying quality and if there is a seam on the box part, very hard/impossible to clean. This one is simple and effective. The stainless steel is thick and the little plastic end handles help keep your fingers from burning when you take it off the pot. This item is fine for smaller amounts of Spätzle, but I have ordered the round one that completely covers the pot so I can put more batter on it and not worry about spilling over the edges. I will keep this one for my smaller batches - it still works great.For those who complained about the boiling water being too hot: The water does not have to be boiling while dropping the batter in - a gentle simmer is fine until all the batter is used, (work quickly), then turn the heat up so the water is at a medium boil for 2 - 3 minutes, stirring every 30 seconds until the Spätzle are done.Also: If you have trouble getting the dough through this, your batter is too thick. With some recipes the batter ends up like sticky bread dough, it should be like thick cake batter. Just add another ounce or two of water or milk. And use enough eggs! For every cup of flour use 2 eggs!My other tip is to do an initial rinse/scrub to everything with the batter on it right away with COLD water to get the batter off. It's like glue and cold water is more effective. Once the batter is off you can follow up with a warm water wash or pop it in the dishwasher. It's also best if you do NOT put the batter bits down the garbage disposal, again....glue! I put the strainer in my sink drain to catch the batter bits and dump that into the trash.

This makes spetzel easy to make! Easy to clean and store. Perfect size wholes that make the task easy. Fits on any pot… at least all mine!

I like the lightweight but sturdy metal construction. The multiple curves on the ends really help steady it on whatever size pot you're using.Never having made spaetzel from scratch before, it came out perfectly on the first try. Will be using this regularly!My only suggestion for improvement would be to make the scraper from a bit more sturdy plastic; like what is commonly used for bowl scrapers.

Excellent for making spaetzle. For me it's the right size.

Well made. I tried multiple ways of making spaetzle and this works the best. Easy to use. Be careful: you are subject to the steam from the boiling pot, but this is something easily mitigated with experience.

I use this to make small egg noodles it works really nice you take the dough and push it through the metal noodle maker and it comes out with a nice small noodle which can be used as an strudel noodle. It's right over the top of your boiling water which makes it really easy to make the egg noodles or the strudel noodle.

Though this Stainless Steel Spaetzle Maker did the job, it was very difficult to use. It didn't hold very much dough, and as I would scrape the dough into the holes, the entire spaetzle device kept falling into the boiling water. Maybe it get's easier with more experience.

It fits a number of different size pots and stays put. It's not thin metal so it is sturdy and doesn't flex. Cleaning is easy. Making nokedli has never been easier.

Works well. Completely happy with it.

I really like this product. I think it would be nice though is the little plastic piece was made out of something a bit more sturdy. I worry it might not last. I am enjoying using it and I would recommend.
