Works as it should
This device works flawlessly. No complaints! I love the clamshell design. Definitely reminiscent of the Gameboy advance SP. This is my third purchase of the rg35xx family and I like this device the most. Update: so I flashed MuOS on to this device. Not sure if I like it. Seems to drain the battery A lot. I was able to get 7 hours of gameplay with GBA but the red led never came on. Not sure if it has to do with the CFW. I like this device so much I am thinking of purchasing the silver one as well and gifting my translucent black to a co-worker lol. I mostly play PS1 and below on this system. I play PS2 and gamecube on the rg406v which I have. I also bought this case https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B0DCTQCHDB?psc=1&ref=ppx_pop_mob_b_asin_title, which makes it look official.

It's pretty great
Owned for a couple months now and still have a hard time putting it down. Using the stock OS, but with a little bit of internet research I was able to get the games I was looking for. Great battery life too.

Shorted out with minimal use
At this price point, it should still work... but after only four months of light use it fritzed out. This was purchased early as a christmas present and my son even kept it the box it came in. I know it's a manufacturer or seller defect because we got the blue one too for my other son and that one still works fine. Value for money: Dont buy it

Superb device
Love everything about this little retro handheld. Took me back to my teenage years with the SP design. Came with a bunch of games and the Kioxia card (Toshiba subsidiary) so the card is good quality. I opted for adding Knulli, but the stock OS I’d equally usable. Get TinySetGo. Yeeee

Not to bad, nostalgia wise
Battery life is pretty good. There is a lag that develops after playing for an hour or so and I have to exit the game and go back into it to get rid of the lag. Feels like the old Nintendo DS. Screen quality seems good. Game variety is ok, I feel like non-Nintendo DS games don't transfer over well. It's not this systems fault but if I had to do over, I'd probably go with something this the rotating thumb controls like the controllers we have now a days have. It's an ok value for the money, I mean the games you can download free so you can't beat that. What I don't like: the lag I mentioned is kind of annoying. Sometimes the game I'm playing will just cut out, all unsaved game progress lost. Having to plug in head phones is annoying, so I don't do it personally. The screen seems to be getting noticeably looser, like a screw is coming loose or something.

Awesome console
This is an awesome console. It feels like a slightly bigger gameboy sp. It feels like a first party console. Doesn't feel cheapm the buttons feel great and have great feedback. Some have complained about the clickyness but I love it. It feels premium. The screen is AMAZING! Its and hd screen and my games have never looked so good before. There is also the option to change the screen type. You can change how the pixels work to look retro. Best of all, it comes preloaded woth a bunch of games. Some games don't work though. You'll need to check em out. You will need an sd card adapter to dowbload more games. The usb port on the console doesn't work for data transfer. Now the con. Mine died. Was having a blast playing a gba game and then boom. Turned off. Went black. Doesn't charge anymore. Will warranty out and see how that process goes.

Great console for emulated games!
This console comes pre-loaded with games, and has a microSD card that can be removed to install firmware updates. The package also came with a screen protector, which was surprisingly very easy to apply. I tested out several of the consoles, and they worked well - Nintendo, Super Nintendo, Gameboy Advance, Dreamcast, and Playstation 1. They all run on RetroArch, and the animation and gameplay were smooth. The only issue I had was with the video settings on the Super Nintendo - every game looked blurry. But the problem was solved by turning off the video shaders. As a quick guide to turning off shaders: load the SNES game, open the system menu (M button), go to Quick Menu, scroll down to Shaders, and set Video Shaders to OFF. You can make this the default for SNES by setting it as an override that will apply for all SNES games. For those curious about the size, this console is a little bigger than the actual Gameboy SP. I’ve included a couple of photos for reference. Mine came with firmware version 1.0.5, but I was able to download the newest firmware from the company’s website. The update process was confusing, but I followed an online video tutorial to get it updated. The update process will wipe the microSD card, so make a copy of the games and save files before updating. Even though I made a copy of the games, the GBA games got corrupted and would not work when I put them back on the SD card. Updating the firmware isn’t required, so update at your own risk. I did all my testing straight out of the box with version 1.0.5, and everything was great.
