This is a gorgeously etched dish. Be take careful note: The top of it has a steep angle that makes it very difficult to grasp with your fingers to lift it off without it slipping off, leading to breakage. There are no protrusions on the sides to make it easier to lift off, so we stuck some clear vinyl cabinet door bumpers to the sides. Also, this steep angle on the sides makes it very crowded under the top, and unless the stick of butter is perfectly centered, it will contact the inside of the top and butter will need to occasionally be cleaned out of it.

Looks delicate but very sturdy and beautiful. Easy to pick lid does not slip from hand. Very happy with purchase
