Premium sound, premium build, and a “just one more track” kind of comfort
I’ve been using the Cambridge Audio P100 SE for daily work, calls, and long listening sessions, and they feel like a genuinely premium product—both in sound and build. Sound quality: The first thing that stands out is how clean and controlled everything sounds. Bass is present and deep, but it doesn’t smear into the mids. Vocals sit forward with good detail, and the highs have sparkle without getting sharp or fatiguing. The overall tuning feels balanced and “hi-fi”—the kind of sound that makes you notice layers in mixes you thought you already knew. Comfort & fit: They’re comfortable for extended sessions. The clamp feels secure without becoming painful, and the earcups seal well. I can wear them for a few hours straight without needing breaks. Noise isolation / ANC: Isolation is solid, and the ANC helps a lot with steady background noise (office hum, fans, street noise). It makes focused listening and work much easier. Build & design: The packaging and finish are impressive, and the headphones feel well-made—sturdy, clean lines, and a refined look that doesn’t scream “gamer” or “plastic consumer tech.” Battery / daily use: No battery anxiety so far—these hold up well for regular daily usage. Controls are straightforward once you get used to them. What to know before buying: If you like very exaggerated bass or an overly bright “hyped” sound, this may feel more mature and accurate than what you’re used to. For me, that’s exactly the point. Bottom line: If you want a premium headphone that sounds refined, looks elegant, and works great for long sessions, these are an easy recommendation.

Great headphones for the price
I already have the Cambridge Audio Melomania M100 Earbuds - and I love them. While they are lacking a little bit of bass, they sound very analytical and precise. The P100 over-ear headphones, on the other hand, are real bass monsters. They have a very full and deep, sometimes almost disturbing bass. The rest of the sound spectrum is also very good, clear mids, with full voices, and an extended upper spectrum with a very clean resolution. Spatial distribution of instruments is also pretty good, even though other headphones do a bit better in this discipline. Now when comparing the Melomania P100 with some other headphones I own, their limitations become apparent. The noise cancelling is good, but the Apple AirPods Max are way superior (that being said, the comparison is perhaps a bit unfair, as the AirPods sell for twice the price, and are recognized to have probably the best noise cancelling on the market). In some songs, the Melomania P100 seem to lose a bit the overview, and some sounds are simply disappearing (like for example the little "clicking" sounds in Björk's "Hyper-Ballad") - probably the bass is overshadowing too much the rest of the music. The AirPods, my Bowers & Wilkins P7x S2 and also my Sennheiser Momentum 3 and even my Bang & Olufsen H9 3rd gen are doing much better here - but all of these headphones are significantly more expensive. Overall, however, the Melomania P100 are a very pleasant set of headphones, and definitely worth the money, especially when you are looking for a "bass-head"-type headphone. And did I mention that they are also comfortable to wear, good looking and feature an unbeatable battery life...?

What's most important to know..?
I’ve been hunting for the perfect pair of headphones for what feels like forever, and I’m thrilled to say these might finally be the ones! The sound quality is fantastic — rich, clear, and super enjoyable. And if the presets aren’t your thing, the customizable EQ lets you shape the audio exactly how you want it. I do wish the noise cancellation were a bit stronger, but it still works well enough to keep me in my own little world. The comfort level really surprised me. They stay secure without squeezing too hard, and they’re lightweight enough that I can wear them for long stretches without any discomfort. The design is awesome too — the blue version I bought looks seriously cool. Even though they don’t fold, they lay flat in a sturdy, well‑designed case with a zipper that actually feels durable. I’ve only had one small hiccup: twice, the audio briefly “stuttered” for a couple of seconds. Also, the presets all sound pretty similar to me. But honestly, those tiny issues don’t take away from how much I’m enjoying these. Overall, these headphones feel like a great value, and I’m genuinely excited to keep using them. If you’re tired of searching like I was, these are absolutely worth a look.

Great Sound
Great sound from the Royal Blue model .I have it in the flat mode and I turned off the dynamic EQ also. This pushes up the Bass and Treble. Nothing wrong with it Just a Preference . Noise cancelling works well while at Planet Fitness. There a comfortable fit I have no fatigue issues. They do get warm after an hour on the Elliptical . Being able to change out the Battery and Foam Ear pads is a huge plus. Long long battery life 60 - 100 hours depending on the noise cancelling mode your using . Nice music separation and it is a close sound stage . Bass is present when it needs to be and the treble does not have any harshness to it . These are smooth and balanced sounding headphones . A great price point for this quality build and sound . Explore the market a bit and try to find another package to compete with what Cambridge offers. I`m partial but I think you'll come up short.

Buy It!
A good way to go cordless. Sound is quite good out of the box, even without using the app profiles. It doesn't sound like they "boosted the bass" so that is a good thing, IMHO. To my ears the over all sound quality seems to have a slight hint of muddiness to to my ear, but not so much that it is annoying or objectionable. The quality is certainly better than most other headphones that I have listened to. Great features - user replaceable battery and ear pads - but no spare ear pads included :-( You can change almost all of the settings from buttons on the headphones... so no stupid, annoying phone/ipad app is needed... unless you really can't live without one... and then there is an app that you can download. The only way to create different music profiles is to use the app. Synching to my ipad was a snap. Solid BT connection, even at a distance. When you remove the headphones, they automatically pause playing sound. When you put them back on the sound picks up where you left off. It's great that you can set varying degrees of sound transparancy. Full transparency and noise cancelling both work quite well. You can use the volume buttons to move forward and back through track listings. There is a button where you can pause the sound playback. I have a smallish head, and unlike other headphones that I have, these fit well and don't slip forward or off when I bend over. They basically stay put and are fairly comfortale to wear for several hours at a time. The soft plastic ear pads don't breathe and thus contribute to a bit of dampness around my ears, but not enough to be a problem. I haven't tried these headphones for gaming or for making phone calls, but they should be great for those applications due to the built in mic - there is no cheesy looking microphone sticking out on a rubber coated bendable wire. I have had good luck with other Cambridge products in the past and these headphones appear to be following that pattern. Hey Cambridge... can you put a battery strength indicator on the next edition of these headphones?

I came into the purchase thinking ok, these are the ones
Well let me say I thought these would be keepers because I happen to have the full suite of Cambridge home audio components and they are great! That said the headphones build quality is 2 nd to none! The materials are rich feeling and feels good to touch, slightly heavy maybe, but that’s what contributes to their nice build design. The sound, very good, nothing immersive about them and no goosebumps upon testing the sound quality for the first time. Like has happened for a couple other sets I’ve tried. The good ends D here. Why I returned them: the headphones ear phone and cushions began to give me a headache in 2 hours and the ears aching as well. That accompanied by the sheer bulk of the headphones, when wearing them I found them scraping on doors as I walked through and in general they are just a wide unit which makes one look a bit silly wearing them, not at all appealing. I found the toggle switch to connect to WiFi on the phones glitchy, not accurately reading my commands with the toggle to turn on WiFi connect. Works intermittently. Though it does work more than it doesn’t. But it’s annoying. This is just my opinion but I was doing some at home comparisons to 5 different brand headphones. I’m not an audiophile head but like everyone else here I know when I hear good balanced sound, Bass semi heavy leaning preferably. Beats: Last ( lowest cost ) Cambridge 4th place Bose QC. 3rd place Bowers & Wilkins bb 2nd place Bose QC Ultra 1st place The Bose QC Were pretty good, they were almost a keeper but in the back of my mind I thought I should try a couple other brands, and that’s what I did. After trying these brands in the comfort of home I ultimately decided on the Bose QC Ultra. All around, it’s just a better pick! The size of them, is perfect. The build, better then regular Bose QC, their solid. The comfort, excellent, I can go for hours with no issues on ears. The sound, while clearly Bose has its own sound heritage, I enjoy the warmer notes with an emphasis on rich bass. The lows, highs and mids are good as well. Out of the box they are tuned to the Bose signature sound base, however unlike many of the others that don’t offer an eq, the Eq here is nice to have, it helps. Now the immersive features is really nice (goosebumps). I like it on at all times. It just adds a little more definition to the sound stage. The ANC, well I don’t need to say anything about that, it’s already been written, it’s one of the best you can buy for this important feature. The volume swipe is terrific. Can’t tell you how many times I’ve had on other brands , trying to remember which button is for volume up or down is messy, this is a great idea to implement a volume slide feature! The app is fairly polished and so are the headphones themselves. I chose the 60th anniversary white with gold undertones and it’s a nice unit. Over all for $340 headphones give or take, you can’t do better for all the features, build, & sound quality in the Bose QC ultra — I’m taking them! The Bowers & Wilkins, a close 2nd but Bose QC ultra have better ANC, an eq option is not available on the B&W and the Bose immersion feature takes it to the 1st place spot, easily

Ignore the noise
I was surprised to see that the reviews for this pair of headphones are so polarized, but I can confidently say from my own experience that these have been an excellent choice and I'm very happy with them so far. Sound is obviously a preferential and subjective thing, so that may explain why some people don't seem to care for them. However, from my point of view, these hit it out of the park. I originally bought a pair of WH-1000XM5 and found that even after a few days of careful listening, I just didn't enjoy the way they sounded. I already had these headphones in the back of my mind so I figured I'd try these instead, given that they are from a reputable company and many people had been praising the way they sounded. A day with the P100's sealed the deal, and the Sony's went back to Amazon. I wouldn't say I'm an audiophile but I have a few headphones to compare them to, such as B&O, Audeze, Sony, Hifiman, etc., and I find these to be some of, if not the best sounding. These headphones just sound really, really good. It's a neutral sound that balances everything beautifully so that you get a nice blend of detail and tonality, all while being very pleasant and non-fatiguing to listen to. And unlike many other types of ANC headphones, they don't sound claustrophobic and are able to provide a surprising amount of soundstage. Recently, I tried my HE400s that I have hooked up to a Monoprice liquid spark amp and sat down for a few songs, and while the planar magnetics had the wider soundstage (obviously) and were slightly more detailed, I found myself putting the P100s back on because they just were more enjoyable to listen to. Comfort is a tough one because again, I feel like everyone is different and it's difficult to say one pair is more comfortable than another. I can see that these felt more comfortable than the WH1000XM5s, despite being heavier. And maybe my head is small, or maybe the other reviewers' skulls are just soft, but I have found these really comfortable and the clamping force just right. Your ears feel like they have plenty of room. Also, the other reviewer talking about how wide these were and that he was hitting them on doorframes is exaggerating greatly. That or there's something genuinely wrong with his gait or balance and he needs to see his doctor. They're wide, but its not like having a 2x4 nailed to your head like that other guy made it to be. The other perks worth mentioning include the replaceable batteries, which is a huge plus to me, even though you can't currently buy them as it seems they're out of stock on their website. The battery life itself is monstrous; as I'm writing this review, I've been lightly using the headphones on and off for about 3 weeks since their last charge (mostly ANC off), and it currently has 72% battery left. Physical button controls are also very nice and easy to use. One of the issues with the Sony capacitive controls is that, at least in colder climates, the air would start activating the controls so you would have to go through the app to manually disable the touchpad. These obviously don't have that problem. The cons that I think worth mentioning are as follows: 1.) The app and software still have some kinks. Sometimes it will just keep repeating that it has been paired or unpaired, and you just have to disable the voice prompts. It seems like having it connected to more than 2 devices at a time triggers that for me. Also, the app itself takes a few seconds to boot up and find the headphones. 2.) The headphones' ANC is good, not great. They feel about on par or slightly slightly worse than my WH1000XM3s, and behind the WH1000XM5s. Also, it seems easy to break the seal they make on your head when you move around or turn your head (in my case), so sometimes this lets in noise and hurts the ANC's ability to work. However, it seems you can avoid this by repositioning your head/headphones. 3.) These aren't made for the gym. They're slightly heavier than most headphones and their wider stature means that they will generate more angular momentum and are more likely to slide off your head. I personally only wear ear buds when I workout anyway, so not a problem for me but maybe a problem for you if that's something you're into. 4.) I'm sure there's something else but it's probably not that important. Bottom line: These are great sounding headphones (regardless of price), comfortable (to me), are solidly built, have excellent battery life, are designed for many years of use with their large replaceable batteries, all while undercutting most of the other ANC headphones you can currently buy in terms of price. They're definitely worth a shot, and I view those super negative reviews with a grain of salt.

Great value for the money
I was looking for over the ear replacements for my AirPods Pro’s, after a lot of research someone recommended these to me. For daily driver use, the P100 is a great choice. They aren’t too heavy on the head and they don’t squeeze the head too hard. They come with a nice hard side case, which is nice but could be a little bulky for travel. A slimmer travel option would be a nice addition even if purchased separately. Also included is 2 cables USB-C->USB-C and USB-C->3.5mm. The earcups, made from vegan leather, are pretty comfortable and easily replaceable. They can make my head a little sweaty if it’s a little warm out. I haven’t seen any different materials for these available yet, hoping that changes, either from Cambridge or 3rd party. The sound quality is enjoyable. The app has an adjustable EQ as well. It is a closer sound stage than I would like, but that comes with closed back earphones. I have a set of open back for special situations. I think the sound can be a little on the cooler side, but with some EQ adjustments you can get it where you want it. They are not bass heavy, but I find the bass pretty neutral overall which I prefer. The app has all the settings available including a few layers of ANC and transparency available. There are tactile buttons on the headset as well which I like a lot. Batteries are user serviceable and affordable. I really like this being an advertised feature as well. The battery life is insane. I am very impressed by the life and still have yet to charge mine. The packaging is a simple pull strip and sleeve design. No plastic or twist ties. In fact I reuse the cardboard sleeves for the cables and I love that. There is a lot of environmentally conscious decisions made in the design of these. If that’s important to you, look no further. While I have the ANC can be a little weird I have only noticed that using that 3.5mm cable. It may be a setting on my part, but could also be fixed through updates. So I’m not overly worried about it. There is a card included listing button press control. I need use it more to figure out the best way to use the buttons. Some in app button customizations would be a nice touch as well. For the money I feel these punch a little above their class and don’t get recommended as much as other more popular ANC headphones.
