Works great w/ Shop Vac!
I used this to knock down a textured ceiling that had flat white paint over it. When hooked up to a shop vac (adapters come with it) , it minimized the mess SUBSTANTIALLY. Much, much faster than sanding by hand.Pros:-LED light makes things much easier to see.-DIY friendly (I am by no means a "pro")- WAY easier than sanding manually.- Made with good material, sturdy.- Price is very fair (on sale)- Comes with Extra Sandpaper and electric motor brushes .Cons:-Feels HEAVY after hours of use and can be a but cumbersome in tight quarters when hooked to the shop vac hose/electric cord)-Difficulty with edges/corners because of the gap between the sandpaper and the actual diameter of the head unit.-No locking position to keep the head unit vertically oriented, causing it to want to tilt to 90 degrees and down away from the ceiling overhead. (Non-factor for walls)

Did not make the job any easier
Even with aggressive sand paper, this did not help with sanding my walls. Ended up just using a pole sander. I wish I could return it, but I am outside of the return window.

Light and vacuum- absolutely needed
Why I bought this:I bought this after having someone finish new drywall in my house very badly - and who also caused huge amounts of dust. To add insult to injury, they also rolled too much pva, causing texture issuesThe results:The scale of the contractor’s finish wasn’t clear until I went over the walls with this - the light shows EVERYTHING that’s wrong. Attached is a photo of the wall I marked up after going over it with this product. Their definition of ‘finished’?Weight/function:I’m not particularly strong, but this was very easy for me to use on walls. There is a vacuum that pulls the dust into a bag, that put the contractor I used to shame. The light is bright, and at the right angle to show everything - bumps, dents, holes, texture - and allows you to identify issues. It was a little harder to use on the ceilings, but paint rolling ceilings is also tough for some of us.You literally put this together, plug it in, make sure the sandpaper doesn’t cover the holes that the vacuum needs, and start.Value: Very good value for money. My new contractor will be buying some for his team.

Not the easiest to work so not sure I even used it right.
This thing was bulky and hard to use. I remodeled an entire bathroom on my own fully tiled and built walls and still had trouble getting this to work correctly. It burned through in spots and other spots wasn’t effective. It’s bulky as well.

Good for the price.
If you've ever removed a popcorn ceiling then you know how much that sucks. This thing is pretty great, but you'll want to attach a shop vac to it. I still rocked a respirator and eye protection because it's not perfect, but it really makes ceiling work less hellish. If the popcorn is painted, running this first allows you to wet the ceiling and then scrape and clean. On unpainted popcorn, this can do the whole job. I even liked the built-in lights, really allows you to see what you have missed.

Drywall sander
This power tool does the job and some more, just gets a bit heavy and awkward after time especially for someone who has a few medical issues and is older. The only thing I didn't like is that the tote bag is too small for the Tool.

Poor quality
After completing 4 rooms, the screw hole in the middle broke so the screw fell out and couldn't be put back. The seller provided an email address, but my emails always say that they failed to be sent.
