Whirlpool 50 pint dehumidifier
I purchased the WHAD501DW, it arrived without casters, that were supposed to be in the collection tank. I contacted the seller, Whirlpool, and they sent me the casters. The casters arrived in 4 days. I could not be happier with the product and the quick response from the seller.

Works well
Got the 50 pint model. If you want tla dehimidifier that actauly removes water this is the one to buy. Sae one review that said it didnt have a handle but i guess they updated it anf it does now. Eats moisture for breakfast as i was impress with the performance so i tested it out and closed it in the bathroom while taking a shower and removed all of the steam. It can be a bit noisy but is expected out of a machine that actually fies the job. Absolutely worth buying if you live on the coast or other moist area.

Reduces humidity well
Nice looking and easy to use. A garden hose or the tubing it comes with can be used. I pump into a slop sink, so the rise is only 3.5' and works. I measured the amount and it is taking out 50 pints daily. Intially, the indicator read 75% humidity and today it's down to 55%. I have a crawl space with open vents, so for me, much depends on the outdoor humidy and how fast it's coming in vs dehumidifier capability. I could of used a larger capacity one. It is quiet. Other reviewers said it became noisier over time. I noticed that, but the water drawer was vibrating causing it and only had to be pushed in a bit more. Quiet again. The condenser shuts off when the desired humidity level is reached, but the fan never does. As l have in the basement, it dosen't bother me, but l am concerned about the added, possibly wasteful, cost of electricity for it to be doing so. As someone else mentioned, though it pumps water, the water drawer gets and stays full unless you manually empty it periodically. If not periodically emptied, I assume bacteria could grow unless the pump also takes from it circulating the water? I can't tell. To be safe, I empty it occasionally. The water drawer carrying handle is a nice feature, but its not very secure. It popped off and had l not had a hand under, I would have dropped the drawer. I regret not buying a larger capacity, but overall it does what it says.

Piece of junk.
Purchased the unit at the end of 2024. It arrived without the wheels. As of end of May 2025 wheels have still not arrived. Two weeks ago on very humid days the unit became very loud so much so I would shut down when I left the house as it worried me. This week the unit did not turn off when it was full and there was water all over the basement floor. I’m past the return date and will probably have to buy another one but definitely not this brand.

Quiet and good value
This machine is quiet. The quietest I've had. It works pretty well for the rating also. The vertical air discharge acts like a ceiling fan and makes for good room air circulation. The controls are bright, and then dim to half bright after a period of inactivity. According to the literature, this machine only consumes around 360 watts. I run mine on low fan so maybe even less for me. The alarm for full bucket sounds initially and then leaves you alone. Small detail but won't wake you up like others I've had with incessant beeping. The main cons for me-1. The fan has no auto function, you pick hi or lo2. The fan never shuts off, even when desired humidity is reached3. The compressor in mine really only shuts off about 5% below the set humidity level, so it runs more continuously than others I've had.4. The collection tank is small. I measured its useful capacity (to the triggered shut-off point) at approximately 0.9 gallons. I only run mine at night for around 7-8hrs set to 55% and it mostly fills up by morning.5. Small detail, maybe just mine has it but my tank has a spot for a handle, but no handle. It is missing entirely. Not a big deal.Conclusion-I hope it lasts over a year at least. If they made one of these as a deliberately long-lasting version with a 5yr warranty for 3x the price, I'd buy 2 today!

Awesome product with Wi-Fi capability.
I have hot humid attic that’s spray foamed insulated with 0 ventilation. I purchased another brand that I returned because of draining issues ( not Honeywell) and it only had 24 hour timer. This baby has Wi-Fi and a schedule you can set online with Honeywell App and never have to go into a crawl space or attic to check on it because of weekly scheduling. It drains real good with gravity drain but you have to buy longer hose because only comes with 3 foot hose. I got 16 ft garden hose and connected it to A/C drain and just let it do it’s thing. Keeps attic right at 50% humidity very quickly and it’s Quiet too. I believe this is Best one on Amazon in my opinion. Never had dehumidifier before so I am very happy with purchase. It’s well made (Honeywell ) and lightweight too with carrying handle . No leaks so far and quiet as a mouse. Get one and you won’t be disappointed.

40 pint unit arrived undamaged and performs as expected
Unit came packaged correctly. It is fairly quiet accept for some air wind noise, no fan noise. Compressor is mostly quiet well within acceptable levels for me and it is a basement rec room where I also watch movies. The bucket volume is quite large compared to prior 22 pint units I have owned. It would be nice if it had an app that told me when bucket was full. Controls are basic and easy to operate. There was a coupon on amazon that I used and then used some of discount to buy the asurion 3 yr warranty so I feel it was good value along with extendd coverage. The bucket is a bit heavy if you are very feable. Happy experience to date.
