This game is advertised as being a Hawaiian Bingo Game, yet flamingoes are included on the bingo cards. Flamingoes are not a bird that lives in Hawaii, so I’m not sure why such a distinctive error would be included in this game. When I normally play bingo, I am used to the center “Free Space” being an actual Free Space. But this bingo game has an actual game tile titled “Free Space”, so I guess it’s only a free space if the caller selects and calls out the tile “Free Space”??? The cards offer a lot of fun and colorful graphics for the game squares. Lots of visual appeal, adding an element of fun and excitement to this bingo game. However, the tokens for covering your game squares cause a bit of confusion. The tokens have a colorful and fun graphic on them that looks really cool, but that awesome graphic also causes the tokens to be a bit difficult to discern from the other graphics printed on the game cards. As designed, the tokens don’t “stand out” to quickly assess a bingo win. And so, I’ve substituted the tokens with pennies. Pennies are a lot easier for viewing a “win”, which is important in bingo, as seconds count for calling out “BINGO!” and becoming the winner.

The cards are vibrant with bright colors and beautiful icons. The fun pictures will excite all ages and the use of pictures rather than letter/number combination makes this game accessible for ages 3+. If your child can recognize and match the photos, they can play this game. The card stock quality is excellent so it should last a long time. I highly recommend this bingo game!
