When I needed an extended drive for my ps4 games, there were a few options out there. Lexar was the one I went with because of the write speed is top notch, very well built and sturdy, doesn't overheat even after a solid game session, and is nice and compact. Plus it is compatible with nearly every device I own. All in all, great purchase. Also, 2 different plugs for USB and USB-C. I use it for my ps5, but this will also work great for anyone looking for extra memory for a camera or recording device.

I didn't make any formal measurements for this SSD, but it's wicked fast. The design is one of simple elegance, and the packaging is just as elegant—no plastic, minimalist, no wasted space. The USB cable is short, and tucked in a 'side slot' of the packaging, easy to miss at first. The interface is USB C; the cable also comes with an adapter, so it works with either USB C or USB A on the other end. Be sure to use the cable it comes with—when I used it with another cable it wasn't nearly as fast. I didn't test the claim that it's drop-resistant up to 2 meters (6.65 ft). This SSD deserves more than 5 stars!

Love love love this product! It was easy to install and import files! Very efficient! It does heat up a bit but I believe that is normal if I use it for large data transfers. Haven't encountered data loss yet.

Not bad for the price and has an app to keep certain files hidden with a password if you want to, but you don’t have to use it, you can use it like a normal storage device if you choose. It is very lightweight and has a hollow plastic shell to dissipate heat and is pretty small. Comes with a high speed data transfer cable and compatible for both usb a and usb c. I put it next to a game case for size reference.

Works right out the box on Mac and PC with USB-C and USB ( with adapter). Easy to use. No data loss during backup.

I got this card mainly so i can backup my iPhone 16 Pro Max pictures and videos and also so I can record high resolution PRO RES videos which are only supported when using an external drive. I have tested the latter and it works as advertised recording at the highest PRO RES 4K 120 fps resolution with no problem. The ES5 is fast, I tested it using Crystaldiskmark while connected to a USB4 port on my PC. It was able to do sustained sequential read/writes at 2000 MB/s... approximately 4 times faster than the Samsung 870 Evo SSD internal SATA SSD of my PC. The housing of the ES5 appears and feels tough... it has a non slip rubber texture to it. It attaches securely at the back of the iPhone via Magsafe. The supplied USB-C cable is flexible and just right in length when used to connect both to my iPhone or to my PC.
