Comfortable with roomy toe box
Great trail running shoes with the wide toe box Altra is known for. Super comfortable right out of the box and stable on rough terrain. Lightweight but still feels supportive. Perfect if you need space for your toes without losing performance.

Roomy toe box - No distortion of the foot
Pros: Roomy toe box - no artificial distortion of the foot - flat bottom on heel of the sole - lugged tread has good grip and stability - good choice for use with an articulated ankle/foot brace (brace configurations are variable) - comfortable - light weightCons: If you need a roll off on heel or toe box, this may not be your shoe.

Excellent fit! Great support!
These tennis shoes are fantastic! The wider toe box provides a comfortable fit, and the support is excellent—perfect for long walks or hitting the trails. They’re also super stylish, with great color options that help hide dirt, so they stay looking fresh even after outdoor adventures. I’ve already noticed an improvement in my leg and ankle pain since wearing them, and I get compliments on them all the time. Highly recommend for both comfort and style!

Awesome zero drop show with wide toe box
I love these shoes! They are my walking and weight training shoes but I also wear them for everyday wear. Cushion is enough for comfort, but not too much to make you feel unstable while squatting with weight. The toebox is nice and wide for an appropriate amount of toe splay while the mid foot is narrow enough to keep you from feeling like you’re sliding around. The color is nice. It’s very wipeable with dirt and stains. However, I do feel like the waterproof material tends to hold my sweat in the shoe so they have been a tad bit stinky. That said I intend to buy another pair very soon and when it comes to shoes, I am picky. They have held up for several months of me wearing them daily, as well as on hikes in the mountains and riverbeds. The photos posted are after 8 months of wear and tear. No holes. Just some dirt!

Slippery When Wet
I love the color, it goes with everything! I've worn these shoes on a 30 mile bike ride and during my cleaning business. The zero drop has made my feet feel stable with nice support and cushion. The wide toe box is perfect and the laces stayed tied which are great bonuses. The material can easily be wiped off and doesn't show dirt. However, be careful!! These shoes are slippery! The max trac grip are not even close to my Solomans are my Topo's which have the contragrip soles. I'm leary of wearing these during a house clean (mopping) or a hike around rocks and water. I'm disappointed with this. Overall I love the feel but will stick with my Soloman and Topo for hiking wet surfaces. I won't buy again because of this so I will enjoy them till they wear out.

Toes space and comfort
I bought these for my AZ hiking trip. Tried them out this afternoon and they feel great! Plenty of toe space! That is the best part is room for my wide feet. Wearability comfortable cushioning! Shoe quality waterproof value for its money.

Love my new trail shoes!
The latest Altra trail shoes are a game-changer for anyone who values comfort and performance. One standout feature is the incredibly roomy toe box, which allows your toes to splay naturally. Whether you’re on a quick jog or a long-distance trek, this design significantly reduces foot fatigue and discomfort. But the real surprise is their superior grip on the trail. The traction is remarkable, providing confidence on uneven, muddy, or rocky terrain. These shoes excel at keeping you stable, even on tricky downhills or wet surfaces.

Had to change running shoes and these work!
I’ve been running in Altra’s Torin 5 for the last couple of years (finding pairs on Amazon or eBay). However when it came time to change my running shoe, there were no Torin 5s in my size to be found. I decided to give the Lone Peak 8 a try. It’s more cushioned than the Torin 5 (mid vs low) but both have 0mm heel-to-toe drop. The stack height of the Lone Peak is larger than the Torin 5, so I was concerned how that would affect my runs. I’m happy to report that I’ve done 2 runs in these shoes, and they were very comfortable and felt similar to the Torin 5s. The Lone Peaks are larger- I wear a size 8 in running shoes and these shoes feel bigger. I’m sure I’ll appreciate it on those very warm running days. So far, the larger size hasn’t made me stumble at all. I’ll be taking these shoes trail running when the weather dries up, but they’re doing just fine on asphalt and gravel for 7-8 mile runs. They’re comfortable, light, and grip the road. I don’t care too much about style, but the blue ones are a pleasant color. I’ll know more about the quality after a couple months.
