I was finally able to solve my problem with bathroom light turning off while I'm still in it taking a shower. So far there wasn't a single time when it would fail or see a ghosts. I was able to pair it with my Aqara m2 hub from the first attempt, the setup process is extremely easy, you just press a few buttons an that's it. And then I've exposed it to Hubitat C-8 via generic matter bridge. Unlike motion sensor automations you don't need to set any delays, it just always tells you if there's someone in the room or not. On the negative side I don't like that it's hardwired, I would prefer a detachable cable because if it fails I'm going to lose a $50 investment. Currently it also reacts to my cat entering the room but I'm hoping that a couple of AI runs or repositioning will solve that problem. Overall I'm very happy with this device, will probably buy more and patiently waiting for FP2E. Review: Finally, Presence Detection That Actually Works! (Worth the Investment) - I've been using this Aqara FP1E Presence Sensor for six months now, in fact, I bought a second unit because the first was so reliable. Setup was a breeze, and the versatile mounting options made it easy to place exactly where I needed it. What truly sets this apart is the rock-solid accuracy of its presence detection. For my home office, where I often sit still for long periods, this sensor has been a game-changer; it never fails to detect occupancy even with limited motion. It’s consistently on point, quickly responsive, and the adjustable sensitivity is perfect for ensuring it works precisely for my home's specific needs. I wasted money on a few cheaper brands before this, and none of them came close to this level of consistent, daily performance. It has been absolutely worth the investment! ## Features - [Multi-Ecosystem Support with Matter] An Aqara Zigbee 3.0 amera Hub G2H pro), the Zigbee Presence Sensor FP1E features Matter-over-bridge support and is also compatible with major third-party platforms, like Homekit, Alexa, Google Home, Home Assistant and Homey. (Note:only supports connectivity with Aqara Hub but not other brands hubs). Zigbee2MQTT and comparable third-party USB dongles are not officially supported by Aqara. Full product functionality may be limited or unavailable. - [mmWave Radar for Accurate Detection & Wide Coverage] Based on mmWave technology, the mmwave presence sensor FP1E achieves more precise detection compared to most PIR motion sensors. It can detect subtle movements of stationary individuals, preventing false reports in cases of inactivity. Additionally, it reduces response delay, ensuring faster and more immersive automation triggers. It enables a 120Β° field of view (can reach 180Β° in close range), up to 6m, covering an area of 35 ㎑, enough to monitor a room in your home. - [Enhanced Precision with AI Technology] Empowered by Aqara Lab's AI technology, the smart motion sensor can proactively identify and eliminate interference sources like small pets in a space to prevent false alarms. In addition, the AI Spatial Learning capabilities allow the presence sensor FP1E to autonomously to adapt its detection sensitivity to your room, enhancing detection accuracy - [Easy to set up & Installation ] Simply plug the Human Presence Sensor into a 5V/1A DC adapter (not included) for quick and easy setup in minutes. An Aqara Zigbee 3.0 Hub is required (not included). Its intuitive APP interface makes it easy to use without having to worry about adjusting sensitivity or dealing with sources of interference in your space. Magnetic and adhesive brackets make it easy to mount on a wall, ceiling, or corner. - [Smart Automation with Detection of Moving and Still Status ] Use it with other Aqara devices for smart automations. The Presence Sensor FP1E accurately detects a human's presence, whether moving or still, within a space, as well as the duration of their status. Unlocking a wide range of automation possibilities triggered by moving/still (Aqara Home app exclusive feature). For exemple, the FP1E works as a reminder of prolonged sitting: if still detected for over 30 min, then send a notification, and change color of light strip. ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | ASIN | B0D5QPH3T6 | | Best Sellers Rank | #34,445 in Electronics ( See Top 100 in Electronics ) #166 in Motion Detectors (Electronics) | | Brand | Aqara | | Brand Name | Aqara | | Customer Reviews | 4.0 out of 5 stars 492 Reviews | | Included Components | Presence Sensor FP1E*1 | | Item Dimensions | 2.24 x 1.46 x 1.97 inches | | Item Highlight | Requires Aqara Zigbee Hub, Accurate Detection, AI Spatial Learning, Supports HomeKit, Alexa, Google Home, Matter Over Bridge | | Item Type Name | Human Precense Sensor | | Item Weight | 0.07 kg | | Item dimensions L x W x H | 2.24 x 1.46 x 1.97 inches | | Manufacturer | Lumi United Technology Co., Ltd | | Maximum Supply Voltage | 5 volts_of_direct_current | | Model | PS-S03E | | Mounting Type | Ceiling Mount | | Number of Items | 1 | | Number of Packs | 1 | | Output Type | Digital | | Part Number | PS-S03E | | Response Time | 200 milliseconds | | Sensing Distance | 6 meters | | Style | Modern | | Style Name | Modern | | UPC | 192784001813 | | Unit Count | 1 Count | | Upper Temperature Rating | 10 Β°C | ## Product Details - **Brand:** Aqara - **Item Weight:** 0.07 kg - **Item dimensions L x W x H:** 2.24 x 1.97 x 1.18 inches - **Maximum Supply Voltage:** 5 volts_of_direct_current - **Style:** Modern ## Images ![Zigbee Presence Sensor FP1E, mmWave Radar Wired Motion Sensor - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/61gblrXx8SL.jpg) ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I like it a lot *by D***I on September 12, 2024* This is a great device, it exceeded my expectations in every way. (Worth the Investment) *by J***S on October 13, 2025* I've been using this Aqara FP1E Presence Sensor for six months now, in fact, I bought a second unit because the first was so reliable. It has been absolutely worth the investment! ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Decent cheaper alternative to the FP2 for single person tracking *by J***F on April 29, 2025* Handy little mmWave sensor, but you get what you pay for. This is the cheaper version compared to the FP2. So it works pretty well but still a few small issues. Its decent for tracking 1 single person, but cant do more than 1 and doesnt do zones. Upgrade to the FP2 for more functionality. You will have to spend an hour getting the placement just right, but once its set, you can let it work. I connected mine to Home Assistant (no need for the aqara app if you have HA and Zigbee) and it works well. The only bug is at night, it does not detect sleeping that well. But for an office or living room watching tv, it works fine with subtle movements. ## Frequently Bought Together - Aqara Zigbee Presence Sensor FP1E, mmWave Radar Wired Motion Sensor, AI Spatial Learning, Supports HomeKit, Alexa, Google Home, SmartThings, Matter Over Bridge, Requires Aqara Zigbee 3.0 Hub - Aqara Smart Hub M3 for Home Automation, Matter Controller, Thread Border Router, Features Zigbee, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, PoE, IR, Supports Alexa, Apple HomeKit, SmartThings, IFTTT - Aqara Zigbee Motion Sensor P1, Smart Motion Detector, Requires AQARA HUB, 5-Year Battery Life, Configurable Detection Timeout, for Alert System and Automations, Compatible with HomeKit, Alexa, IFTTT --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - πŸ›’ **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** β€” Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** β€” Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - πŸ’° **No Hidden Fees** β€” All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - πŸ”„ **15-Day Free Returns** β€” Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - πŸ”’ **Secure Payments** β€” Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** β€” Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.nz/products/647340651-zigbee-presence-sensor-fp1e-mmwave-radar-wired-motion-sensor](https://www.desertcart.nz/products/647340651-zigbee-presence-sensor-fp1e-mmwave-radar-wired-motion-sensor) --- *Product available on Desertcart New Zealand* *Store origin: NZ* *Last updated: 2026-10-11*
