Liqui Moly Gear-Oil Additive (20 g)

ABOUT LIQUI MOLY: xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx For those who don’t know, Liqui Moly GmbH is a German company specializing in oils, lubricants and additives. Liqui Moly GmbH was founded in 1957 in Ulm on the river Danube. The patent for production of molybdenum Disulphide formed the basis for the company. This additive based on liquefied molybdenum disulphide (MoS2) was the company's first product and gave the company its name “Liqui Moly”. When added to motor oil, this substance ensures emergency running characteristics in the event of a sudden loss of oil. Fighter pilots in World War One had already exploited this property, adding MoS2 to the motor oil in the aircraft engines. This enabled pilots to still land, even if the oil tank was hit. Liqui Moly's main product is motor oil with MoS2 but there are also other lubricants with MoS2 and the additive MoS2 itself to be added by the end user during oil changes. From this additive, an entire range was developed, with over 4000 products including engine and gear oils, additives and vehicle care products, workshop equipment and service products. In Germany, Liqui Moly is one of the leading producers of engine oils. Germany remains the main marketplace, but international demands are increasing. LIQUI MOLY products are now sold in 120 countries. Starting January 1, 2018, Liqui Moly is part of the Würth Group which bought the remaining shares of the previous majority holder and CEO Ernst Prost. To give an idea ,The operating revenue of the company was 532 million Euro as of February 2018. ABOUT THE GEAR OIL ADDITIVE: xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx Already impressed with the significant lowering of my engine clutter by merely using the liquid moly super diesel additive, I ordered multiple automotive products for my Skoda rapid 1.6 diesel to check out the first-hand experience of each of the product. So far my observations of the product has been : @ This additive in particular is designed to be added to the gear-box oil to achieve superior lubrication properties between moving components inside a gear box thus lowering the frictional component between them & increasing their life as a consequence. @ The product comes as a 20 gram small tube that has to be added to the new gear box oil – a tube for a liter. Thus for my skoda rapid for around 2.5 liters of gear oil , I decided to put in 2 tubes of the same. @ In general in some cars as in my skoda rapid, the gear box oil is sealed for life ie, there is no need to replace the same for any usable life time of the vehicle. However, after a recent sideways collision of my vehicle with an overtaking trawler, I could feel a depreciation of the initial smoothness while shifting gears & hence decided to replace it along with additive. In most others, gear oil is replaced any time after 40000 to 80000 kms for different car models. @ Since the product has to be added to the gearbox oil hence the type of fuel used in the vehicle is insignificant and it can be safely used in both diesel & petrol driven vehicles. @ The tube had an MRP tag of 713 bucks however I purchased it from amazon for 1062 bucks for 2 tubes or roughly the same as 531 for each piece including GST shipping etc. which is quite on the higher side. @ I have already been using certain liquid MoS2 compounds in my plant as an anti-sieze remedy for machine bolts hence I was pretty confident over the product. @ The product has everything over the tube written in german as its manufactured in Germany. @ The manufacturing date over the tube is of July 2017 however no expiry date is mentioned over the pack. @ I am yet to get it changed hence will update over its effect later with a sure-footing. However in theory I am sure liquid molybdenum is a great anti friction & anti-sieze compound.

It's a good additive if put in proper quantity. You need to add 1 pouch per liter of gear oil. So if your gear oil is 2liters then you need 2 pouches of additive. U will feel the difference once you drive about 50 kms.

Makes Gear shift smoother as for the people who have their cars in warrnaty and can't fill aftermarket good oils for the same so mos2 in my hyundai venuw roked soo well regarding the shifts and smoothness of the syncros of the gearbox.

The product works like charm. I added it to my alto 800 gear oil. The gearbox has become smooth and the noise which was there in my alto 800 gearbox in 4th and 5th gear reduced by more than 70 percent. It takes around 200 to 300 kms to actually feel the difference.

Very good product. 2nd purchase in the last 5 years. Has definitely made gear shifts totally smooth.... So smooth that I can actually shift gears with just one finger. Using it in my Suzuki Ignis with manual transmission. Definitely recommend.

Un producto magnífico que disminuye ruidos de la caja de cambios, suaviza el cambio de marchas y mejora el rendimiento.

Das Additiv ist der absolute Knaller. Ich habe zwei kleine Tuben in das Getriebe des Fiat 500 zugegeben und es lässt sich butterweich schalten. Ich kannte diese Additiv bereits von früher, da wurde es dem Getriebe des Golf 1 zugegeben, da es sich aufgrund von Temperaturerhöhungen nicht mehr schalten ließ. Nach der Zugabe, man kann es kaum glauben, war das Problem dauerhaft verschwunden.

Pour lubrifier la boite je pense necessaire après vidange pour maintenir une qualité d'huile neutre. Aucun soucis rencontrés niveau efficacité cela a arrangé les vitesses qui accrochaient un petit peu mais je n'avais pas de gros soucis. Toujours bien à utiliser. Bon Produit de bonne marque à bon prix.
