Great overall knife. Nice blade design. Emergency tooled with Glass breaker with seatbelt cutter. Great price, would be a good gift for outdoorsman or fishermen or working people. This is a full-size folding knife with the seatbelt cutter and glass breaker. It fills my palm; I wear XL gloves. I have a problem with knives being hard to hard when they’re small, and this one is about as small as I can do without it feeling small. That makes it practical for a wide range of uses. It doesn’t specialize in any one task, its specialty is versatility. It comes in a carbon fiber-pattern zippered case with a mesh pocket on one side and elastic on the other. It fits the knife and another thing, a pen or a penlight, a second knife, a cloth to wipe it clean… It is a nice case. I use this one. This is the $36 version with G10 handles. The G10 provides more texture to grip than the $30 one with aluminum handles. I think that is the only difference. Opens readily with a flick. It is smooth, but it is not super fast. I have it tightened to eliminate tip wiggle, and that slows it down a bit. To reach full speed like with zero resistance, it has to be excessively loose. It’s not slow, it is mid-range. This is a fairly heavy knife for its size, it doesn’t need to be super fast, but it doesn’t have that fidgety quality. It feels practical and utilitarian. The blade comes with a crisp edge; it slices thru boxes nicely. The seatbelt cutter is a full-thickness spacer sharpened into a wedge. I was expecting a replaceable razor or snap-off box blade, but this is an integral piece. I like that it can tolerate much greater force than a skinny razor. Keeping it sharp will be more difficult, so it is better for emergencies where the greater strength is crucial. Has a stiff clip with screws above the bend, so it’s going to stick up about 1”. I don’t like anything above my belt poking my belly, so this is a pocket clip for me. Cannot be switched to the other side. I like carrying this knife best in its case. In my front pocket. That is unusual for me, I don’t usually use the zippered cases, but for this knife, it feels appropriate. That’s its character: this knife is self actualized. Maybe it’s the scorpion logo and carbon fiber pattern giving me Italian supercar vibes. It feels confident. This is a solid value. It has the features of my old SOG knife that I found in a parking lot, a similar sturdy build quality, and is about half the price. The steel is a practical budget steel, good performance all around but particularly easy to sharpen and corrosion resistant. It holds an edge better than the 440 stainless used in novelty knives, but it does need to be sharpened after using it on wood.

This is a decent pocket knife. The blade is sharp, but that is expected. The blade is made of 8Cr14Mov Chinese steel. This steel is decent. It is not great in edge retention, but it can be sharpened. The knife hinge is solid and opens easily with one hand. I did not test the seat belt ripper (my neighbor said No when I asked him if I could try it on his seat belts) or the glass breaker (again, neighbor had a less than positive attitude about testing the window breaker on his car. This is a knife that makes a nice gift. It is sleek and works well.

The knife is pretty good for the cost. The flipping action is good. The lock up is fine , no side to side or up and down play. The grind is okay, a partial flat grind with a v - edge. The blade steel is what you’d expect for this cost. I was about to write a good review and recommend it for a vehicle knife, with a glass breaker and a seat belt cutter. But the slot for the seat belt cutter doesn’t expose the blade edge, it instead has a thin piece of metal that I could use only if I held something just right and pulled toward the rear of the knife. I used it to cut a very light piece of string with difficulty. I would not count on this in an emergency.

This AUBEY Pocket Knife is designed as an affordable, practical, daily carry and use knife. Nothing fancy, but some details are interesting. Even though the knife has a very usable pocket clip, it comes with a nice little carrying case. It even includes a user manual! The Chinese 8cr14mov steels more than adequate for the intended use as light duty working knife. It's got pretty good corrosion resistance, pretty good toughness and gets plenty sharp. The mechanics work well, it flips open easy, there is no movement in the blade when open, and the liner lock releases with little resistance. Balance is good, the G10 handle provides good grip. The glass breaker and seat belt/line cutter provide welcome additional functionality. Not a fancy knife, but a very good carry/use knife for the price
