After using these, I was completely fine with the price.
These are hands down the best arm crutches ever. They are extremely light. I can walk in a completely upright position with ease on my wrist, a totally different feeling from the adjustable kind. Oh and they are soooo quiet. I use to be some what embarrassed by the noise the adjustable arm crutches made , these have me as quiet as a ninja. No pole inside a pole is a total game changer. The are have that open or closed around the arm option is great in every way, even the fact that it hangs at 90degrees so that I can use my hands stopped so many other inconvenient situations or obstacles that I encountered with a solid ring around the arm. I only and highly recommend these over any other walking aid simply because of how well it corrected my posture as I walked and and a lot less shoulder pain from one cane. Since my weight is evenly dispersed between both arms . For them being lightweight is an understatement they are extremely light and yet ridiculously strong. I absolutely love them.

21st century materials used to solve an ancient problems.
As a long time user of fore arm crutches, this product is interesting. I'd been in the habit of equating weight with strength as applied to things like crutches. These are SO light weight that it takes a mindset change to realize that carbon fiber is 5 times as strong as steel, pound for pound. It also "handles" differently. I'd been used to having to use some "muscle" to swing the crutches for the next step. With these, it almost feels like you are going to toss them into the next county if you use that much force. I would have given them 5 stars, but for two issues. The box arrived broken open, with the end taped. One of the two cuff mounting screws was stuck to the tape, and the other screw was missing entirely. I had to buy a screw at the local hardware store to even try them out. And the second issue is the crutch tips. Traction on the floor by the crutch tip is fine on rough surfaces. But on slick surfaces like linoleum you have to take short, careful steps, or they will slip. A better, more "grippy" crutch tip will probably help. As a long time user of Fetterman's Performance tips, I think they may help. I'm concerned about the round hole in standard crutch tips staying on the oval cross section crutches. All in all, I'm favorably impressed by this product! It's a lot easier on the arms. I'm glad I bought them. The cuffs are different than the standard "hard" cuffs. With the hoop part of the crutch in the folded back position, the cuffs act like European style open cuffs. As a person who has used the front split cuffs for years, I've been accustomed to just turning loose of the handles, "knowing" that my crutches won't just drop. With the open cuff, down they go! (Oops!) With the hoop folded forward, they act like standard full cuffs. The cuffs are much larger than standard American style cuffs. It's easy to get coat sleeves and gloves through the cuff, unlike standard US cuffs. There is plenty of pivot and room inside the cuff. I think they will be safe in a fall. All in all, I think it's a good investment for the long term crutch user.

sturdy, well designed, lightweight
I am a 5'8" male, weigh 170 lb, and feel confident when I walk with my INDESmed crutches. They're lightweight, so I hardly feel them when I let them hang from my arm, allowing me to quickly free my hand when needed. The grips feel comfortable even after using them for hours when I am on a trail, hiking. The cuff is made of high quality plastic. Including the rubber tip, each crutch has four parts, and they were easy to assemble.

Robbery
$600 for a pair of crutches unless made of rare earth materials such as gold and silver is outright robbery. Do these companies think the majority of us who rely on such equipment are rich? Quite the opposite. I have no douby about the quality of the crutches but the price alone makes them un obtainable to the majority of people who would benefit from them.
