Great box cutter
Very good box cutter. It’s sturdy, sharp, and easy to handle. Cuts through cardboard effortlessly and feels safe to use. Great quality for the price, I recommend it.

The best knife for retail
I've been using the S5 box knife in a retail environment for a little over 10 months now, and I can honestly say it's the best box knife I've ever used. Most of the "box activity" in my work life is simply slicing open tape seals on boxes, both to stock items and break boxes down. With the standard-issue retail box knife, you first have to slide the cover off before you cut the box open and slide the cover back on after you're finished. (Well, I suppose you could leave the cover off if you wanted to add a few new words to your vocabulary!) You have to do this twice with a typical box. With the S5, the attachment built into the knife above the blade eliminates the time it takes to do this as well as the possibility you'll cut yourself in the process of retracting the blade on the old-style knives. The tape cutter attachment on the S5 works on the normal Scotch tape as well as the security tape with thread shippers like Amazon use to seal boxes. You could use the blade if you wanted to—and it's certainly there if you need it—but it's not necessary most of the time. I also use the shrink wrap cutter when I'm breaking down skids. As much as I've used it, the cut is still buttery smooth and doesn't get snagged in the shrink wrap like a standard knife would. I also appreciate the fact that, having spent a lot less time getting the blades of the old-style knives snagged in shrink wrap, this has entirely eliminated the errant busted milk jug disasters as a result of blade slippage. That's at least 30 minutes of cleanup, so the S5 has actually saved me a couple hours. The shrink wrap blade on the S5 is completely sealed, so it's impossible to slice through anything. I'm also using the lanyard and knife holster with my S5, and both work perfectly until the little clip that holds the knife in the holster breaks off and the knife falls out every time you sit down. Just know if you're considering the holster that the small piece that holds the knife in will probably break off. Overall, this thing is amazing. I can't believe I'm writing such a glowing review of a box knife, nor did I ever think that would be something I'd do. That said, this thing just works, and you should get one if you work in a retail store and want something that's leaps and bounds above the knife your store will give you.

Very Good knife
Very good knife. Fits hand well. Tape cutting tip is also a plus. Wish this company had a BETTER holder. The metal blade button on the ut knife continually wears down the catch on the plastic knife holder. This makes the holder USELESS! And the leather one this company sells is no better. Buy a knife holder from Home Depot or Lowe's

Film cutter is a godsend
Moving from the S8 ambidextrous cutter with two annoying guards to this much nicer safety cutter with a single guard has been huge for speed. I open a couple hundred cases of product a night with many of them being drinks in shrinkfilm so being able to switch to the film cutter and just quickly open them rather than have to carefully do it with the box cutter has been great. Film cutter works well to safely unwrap pallets as well, even when film is bundled together. One issue though is blade storage, if you drop it there is a high chance it will pop right open possibly dropping blades. Update 7/8/25: I've ordered two of these now, one I gave away and the second I now need to finally replace. The blade on the film cutter began to go (entirely my fault, hitting the edge of cans while cutting off the film) luckily these come in packs of three for less than a new entire S5R however the mechanism inside that holds the film cutter in place rather than flopping around will likely break before the blade itself needs to be replaced (which is what has happened to me) so its likely smarter to just buy an entire new S5R about once a year.

Durable and Handy!
Use it pretty much every day. I used to use this brand for work and used them for years. Decided to buy one for home use and it's fantastic! The blade lasts for years and seems to never wear down, but when you need more blades they are cheap and you can also just flip the blade around they give you. Sadly this one doesn't give you extra blades but there is a blade holder in the back of the device. Good grip and design. Great safety knife and perfect for cutting open boxes or making fine cuts.

The best box cutter I have ever used
This is by far the best box cutter I have used. It's light weight but sturdy enough to handle being dropped a few times with no issues. The box cutter has a good hand feel, very ergonomic. Love the versatility of this box cutter. The pop out film cutter is probably my favorite feature as I use it far more often then I thought I would. Would definitely buy again.

Favorite box cutter
I used these box cutters for 7 years at my old job, and I loved them so much, I bought one for myself. Fits more comfortably in my hand than any other box knife. Very good grip and positive control. Cleverly designed and very functional. The tape splitter on the tip means you don’t have to dull your blade as quickly, or risk cutting yourself or whatever is inside the box. The cutter in the end of the handle is also a super handy tool for cutting nylon packing straps, shrink wrap, strings, etc. There’s a small hole in the handle if you’d like to add a tether. Blades are extremely easy to replace, and there’s a compartment to keep a spare blade handy. They may be a little pricier than other box knives, but they withstand a beating and are absolutely worth the cost!
