That is, unless you already made a questionable purchase with a much shorter expiration date. I suppose you can also contact Abbott Medical Optics if you still have a desire to know. **Q: How long does the Oxysept neutralizing tablet last?** A: I can usually use the tablet with the regular tablet once a week, sometimes longer, before I feel build up. **Q: Do I have to rinse the lens after the neutralizing process completed?** A: It's my understanding that you don't have to rinse it; the neutralizing process turns the solution to harmless saline, but truthfully, I've never "not" rinsed it afterwards so can't speak from actual experience. I always give it a brief saline rinse on both sides even if it's a bit paranoid to do so. **Q: can you purchase extra enzyme tablet...I always run out of the tablets and still have plenty of solution?** A: Not that I know of. I tend to run out of solution and have extra tablets! This product lasts a very long time and is well worth the investment of time as it takes a bit more effort to use this system than rinse with drops and saline solution. This disinfection system is somewhat clunky: 1) Take out your contacts; 2) Rinse them; 3) Affix them to the holder; 4) Fill the holder exactly to the line; 5) Drop in a separate pink tablet; 6) Quickly close and tip the holder up and down a few times; 7) Wait overnight for your contacts to be disinfected. That said, the clunky system does its job. I notice that my contacts stay clearer and more comfortable for longer when I'm using this disinfection solution.
