The vacuum seal forms as the jar cools. It’s also excellent for fermentation and pickling. **Q: Are the metal lids rust-resistant, and what is the best way to clean them for long-term use?** A: Lids feature a rust-resistant finish. To maintain it, please hand wash and dry immediately with a cloth. Avoid soaking or air-drying in damp areas. **Q: Do these jars follow standard mouth specifications for lid replacements and accessories?** A: Yes, these feature the Standard Regular Mouth (2.8in / 70mm). They are fully compatible with universal 2.8in / 70mm Mason jar accessories like daisy lids, or shaker tops from major brands. A versatile choice for your existing collection. **Q: Is the glass durable for dishwasher and freezer use, and can it be heated in the microwave?** A: Made of thick soda-lime glass, these are dishwasher (glass only) and freezer safe (leave headspace). To prevent thermal shock, we do not recommend microwave or oven use. **Q: What types of food are recommended for this specific jar size, and is it suitable for long-term pickling?** A: Perfect for small-batch jams and jelly, fermented hot sauces, herb-infused vinegars, and refrigerator pickles. Its standard mouth and two-piece lid ensure reliable sealing for both short-term fridge storage and long-term water-bath canning. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Literally the best! *by S***H on May 2, 2026* These are the best and cutest little mason jars! And the packaging was unbelievable. They survived shipping well because they were packaged so well. I’m really happy with this purchase. They are sturdy glass with nice lids and perfect for herbs. Thank you! ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great Storage and Compatibility *by M***E on September 24, 2026* I needed a container to store my hot pepper flakes after I dehydrate them and these are perfect. These are standard size jar mouth, just in a 4 ounce size and the lids have the same rubber seal as a standard canning lid. The lids and bands are interchangeable with a standard size masons, which I took into consideration when buying in case I use them in the fridge and the bands would rust at any point. They also came very tightly packed in a box with foam, which I’m storing the ones in that I didn’t use yet. I bought the 8 pack. They came with sticker labels, which is also an added bonus. I attached a photo for comparison to a 6 and 8 ounce canning jar. I definitely recommend these, especially if you have a jar-theme in your kitchen. ## Frequently Bought Together - ComSaf Small Mason Jars 8 oz - 6 Pack, Regular Mouth Mason Jar with Lids and Seal Bands, Small Glass Canning Jar for Spice, Jam, Honey, Jelly, Dessert, Shower Wedding Favors, DIY Candles Decor - Sure-Jell 100% Natural Premium Fruit Pectin 1.75 oz - PACK OF 3 --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.nz/products/650194315-comsaf-8-oz-mason-jars-6-pack-small-regular-mouth](https://www.desertcart.nz/products/650194315-comsaf-8-oz-mason-jars-6-pack-small-regular-mouth) --- *Product available on Desertcart New Zealand* *Store origin: NZ* *Last updated: 2026-10-04*
