Smart TV
I'll start this review by saying I know nothing about technology. So my review won't cover all the technical details, but simply what I like and what I don't. After reviewing and comparing what seemed like 100s of TVs, and not understanding half the features and gumph in the details, I decided to stick with what the brand I know and a new released TV in the hopes it will last a few years. My previous Samsung was doing okay still, but it no longer supported ITV Hub/X and something had happened to the subtitles, which I heavily rely on, and I could no longer see. So, how have I found it? Picture great - the picture is sharper than my old TV. Sound is good, sometimes needs changing between channels but I'm sure this can be sorted in settings. All the apps work as they should, and all the usual and most used apps are there. The remote is a little on the small side for my fat fingers, but manageable. I'm still figuring out the solar remote. As I said, I know little about technology, but I've seen a few people mention having to re-connect to the wifi. If my previous TV hadn't been a Samsung I would have presumed the same. What you need to know, is that the wifi takes about a minute or two to work. On my old TV it would come up that the Hub was updating. On this TV, a message comes up saying Error and directs you to reconnect the wifi. This is not needed. If you wait, the wifi will connect and you won't get the Error message. Even if you get the Error message, just be patient and it will connect. For me, this is a great TV, and I would definitely recommend it to others.

A good value TV with an excellent picture & some really good features
As the owner of a modern OLED TV for everyday viewing I wanted another large-screen TV for a room where lighting conditions are not too bright & where there's little to no chance of sunlight on the screen BUT I didn't want to spend OLED-type money on another TV. Having looked at the specs this budget-end Samsung appeared to fit the bill: it has all the connections and smart features that I need (plus a few more besides) but without the added expense of "Quantum Dots" or zoned local dimming etc etc etc. Everyday use is normally streaming services or sometimes files from a large disk drive, and watched in a range of formats from 4k HDR10 or similar to 720p avi. As a household we stopped watching "through-the-aerial" broadcast TV long ago. Unboxing and setup was a breeze and literally took just a few minutes after this was wall mounted. A quick note here: these are a very thin TV so they sit close to the wall if, like me, you prefer to use a fairly standard hook-on-a-rail" type wall mount rather than the supplied stand (legs). Not a problem except that this can make insertion of the power plug and the rear-facing HDMI and LAN ports very awkward once hung, so my advice would be to connect those to the TV before you mount it on the wall. In use I find the Samsung to have a very good picture. In some cases (like displaying upscaled standard 1080 or lower content) the picture is actually better to my eyes at least than on my OLED. There is a little backlight unevenness (on a pure black screen it can be a liitle bright in one corner for example) but in normal use this really isn't noticable and it doesn't seem to affect the picture. There's no motion judder, blurring, pixellation or other unwanted picture problems that I've seen either (unlike the OLED I use too). The sound isn't great from the built in speakers, but since I always use either sound bars or other amplification that isn't a problem for me and HDMI ARC works perfectly to turn on the sound bar automatically. The solar powered remote control is an excellent little thing & contains everything I need for daily use, with the larger standard remote control now destined to life in a drawer. We don't use voice activation though, so I can't say how effective that is on this TV. The streaming services we use connect without problem and navigating the TV's menus has been straightforward enough too. For our needs this Samsung is proving to be a really good TV with a good picture and all the features we need.

A bit of a faff to set up and a small remote but great otherwise
So, I've been playing with this TV for a couple of days now... what do I think of it? Well, it was a bit of a faff to set up - mainly due to trying to get them to set up a Samsung Account for me and then my credit card not accepting who they were so refusing a 87p fee! All in all you don't actually have to pay anything into your Samsung account and it was much more straightforward once I decided to go through the Samsung website... Anyhow, as usual with modern day equipment the set up manuals are awful - the pictures often ambiguous and unless you know what the on-screen instructions are pertaining to (I didn't always - so often just googled them... or guessed!) then it can seem a little daunting. Anyway after around an hour (over half of this time was used up with the Samsung Account debacle) I was up and running. My wife hates the modern settings of these - they are much too contrasting and bright for her delicate little eyes and so I turned down both drastically. And, unlike some other TVs - it was really easy to change these settings (hurrah!) The picture quality on this TV is fabulous - at 50 inches on the diagonal it is a seriously big display for our small living room and it is pin-sharp. It dominates the whole room but then you are able to completely immerse yourself in a movie or series. You have a wide range of apps available to you including Amazon Prime, Disney, Netflix, Live-TV etc They all work perfectly (except Netflix... as I don't have a subscription for that!) I am finding it difficult to fault at the moment... ah yes - the remote... Well you get 2 remotes. One small one which is completely inadequate size-wise for anyone with adult sized hands and fingers - all of the main select/home buttons should be nice and big like on every other TV remote on the market. And the other remote - great idea with solar/recharge potential... but it's even tinier and almost unusable. So that's my summation of my fist few days. Great TV for picture and apps, let down a bit by the tiny remote control... I may need to see if there is another option on the market...

Bought it after seeing the good reviews for this model. As of now, very much impressed with the color palette though it needs a bit of a fine tune depending on the various streaming services. However, the sound is really good providing sufficiently loud lows and highs. Also surprised to distinctively hear the instruments in the various background scores depending on the quality of the content being watched. That’s impressive for a TV speaker

I’m coming from LG, so Samsung offers a simpler and straightforward UI. But this model offers less features (Has all features you need). No google play store is an absolute bummer, as you’d have to stick to the laggy Internet app. Great screen, low flare and almost no bezels. 60hz, HDR looks great. It’s very thin as well.

صوته ضعيف وبه ريموت واحد صغير يحتاج لحماية لأنه ضعيف وصغير جداً ويعلق عند التنقل بين القنوات ولكنه مناسب مقابل السعر
