Editing to say... product did not work. I had enough of the old product left to do a side by side comparison. Old reagent read at 59 new reagent read 17! I compared these numbers to a standard strip test and this product (I bought on amazon) was waaaay off, my old reagent was accurate.Original review: First off, the shipping was very fast, and item arrived in good shape. My problem is that the bottle has an old sticker over the label that covers/hides the expiration date. When I removed the label it ripped the LaMotte label so I guess I’ll never know. And with these products having a definite shelf life, I don’t know if the chemical is still good. Seller should not cover the date!

My test results haven't ever been this accurate. Took my own readings and then went to the dealer to have them test my water. Every reading was spot on!

Most user friendly and accurate testing reagents and equipment on the market for the price. Just be sure to replace one year after opening regardless of the expiration date.

I purchased this since I was getting low on ALK reagent and the bottle I had was approaching the end of its shelf-life. It's the exact same that LaMotte shipped with the ColorQ I purchased. The only reason I gave it 1 star off is that the alkalinity test is the one that I find that's the least accurate. When I test pH and CYA, they always come out very close to each other every week when I don't have any water replacement. With the alkalinity test, I sometimes test at 95 one week and then 108 the next, without adding anything besides bleach to raise chlorine. Even though it's not the most accurate, it at least gets me in the ballpark to know if I need to add any baking soda, so I still give it 4 stars.

The LaMotte kit keeps me well informed as to the water balance in my pool and this replacement chemical was received timely, correcly and, importantly, is a fresh batch with an expected expiration date.

I bought this product January 2021 and it expired in January 2021. This is the second time this has happened to me and it has happened to others here. One could forgive an occasional mistake, but now it seems clear this is a shady business. Buyer beware.

Second time buying these from amazon and both times the Chems were expired.

We are happy with the Lamotte test kit. We had a little bit of a speedbump in receiving the alkalinity reagent that was defective however the vendor came back with a quick reply to replace it; five stars for great customer service.
