Good basic readers - questional production
The quality seems good. The clarity is good. I have no issues wearing them all day. The nose bridge is adjustable. I would have preferred all one color, but none of the colors are so bad that I wouldn't wear them. I wish they came in a power range (like 1.5, 1.75, 2.00, and 2.25 in one box), so I can use one for book reading and another for the computer. I don't need 4 pairs of the same thing. Well actually, I might as one pair was a bit damaged (the black frame of course, the one I wanted to wear). One star off for that. UPDATE: I looked more at the pair with the black frame and realized that it appears to be a production issue and not a case of being damaged in packing or shipping. One of the screws looked cross threaded, and when I removed it I realized why. The "spring loaded" arms are alway putting tension on the part that mounts to the frame, where at rest, the holes do not align. I guess it must need a special tool to put the screws in place. I tried for about 45 minutes to put the screw in, but it is so tiny that I could not put enough pressure on it to move the spring tension arm over enough to make the holes align. Am taking an additional star off as I think this pair should never have passed even a cursory inspection, and for fact the the glasses are impossible for me to repair. Those screws may as well be rivets. Anyhow, that pair is in the trash now ...
