Perfect
Excellent product as it's one of my favourites as well as my girlfriends as she likes that it's not as harse as others and doesn't burn the back of your throat. I could have bought this elsewhere but after the one time a local supermarket delivered it and dropped it getting out of the van shattering it I trust Amazon as they go over board on the wrapping and protection. It's a great bourbon for sipping around a fire pit and isn't harsh at all. You can mixix it with your favourite soft drink but it removes alot of the great tastes. It's absolutely brilliant when used to make an old fashioned. Just treat yourself and get a bottle

Rye not give it a try?
This was my first rye whiskey I tried through recommendation from various people and as I really enjoyed Bulleit Bourbon I thought why not. The taste profile is really impressive for what you get especially at the cost you pay, it's real good value for your money. I made the most of the Amazon daily deals and bought a bottle, seen it on offer again the following week so bought another haha The initial sip you get a great kick of heat from the whiskey, but it's not overwhelming at all but is enough to take notice, dominated by complex mixture of spices and a sweet fruity taste which I've been informed that is cherry, but I still struggle to put my finger on it being cherry just yet (I have a palate in training haha). After that sip the rye begins to open up and the dryness becomes more obvious as you finish but there is something about it that makes you go back for more. It's a drink that you need to try, even if just buying and trying at a restaurant/pub/bar or wherever to understand the value you get from buying a bottle. Overall it's smooth to drink especially when neat (I recommend enjoying it neat over cocktail mixes, tastes much better in my opinion), it's something that you can open to drink at home by yourself or with family to relax with that won't disappoint.

Very nice rye
First of all, rye whiskey is a beast of it's own, and although I like rye, it's not my go to whiskey. This one is like a decent bourbon with lots of spice, not the best rye whiskey, but it gets 5 stars because of the price. £25 a bottle is excellent for this, but once again, don't expect it to be on the same level as a scotch sipper, entirely different flavour profile. On the nose, the alcohol smells like some kind of paint solvent that I actually like and reminds of painting models. Some of the spice confess through on the nose too and substantial sweetness. On the palette you get a woody liquorice flavour followed by a strong and growing spice, but the more you drink the more the flavour moves towards a very woody bourbon.

Interesing and refreshing.
I purchased this solid offering when it was on sale for £22 and am very glad to have snapped up another before the price went back up to £33.09. It's touch and go whether I'd buy it again at full price - I'll get back to you when I've finished the second! It was a much better sipper than I thought it would be and a refreshing change from the heavy sweetness of some of the bourbon whiskey I'd been sipping recently. For me this has lovely grassy, sweet pine notes on the nose, with a surprise of gin botanicals drifting over a light vanilla and caramel sweetness. On tasting, there's a nice spicy rye arrival, which is quite zesty, alongside the gin botanicals which continue on from the aroma. Although not overly complex on the palate, with quite a short, dry oak finish, this juice really does reward a good long chew before swallowing, where the more vegetal flavours fend quite mouthwateringly with the light sweetness and some bitterness from the oak, for some happy sour candy before it's gone. I imagine it would be a really good mixer and it does hold up with a little water. But for the last couple of weekends my wife and I have found it a perfect accompaniment to a few games of pool: interesting and refreshing enough for a pause between doings, but not so demanding or complex a dram that it would be wasted on a more lively party atmosphere. One last thing: it was a tad more lively on first opening. So if it seems a bit too sharp at first, you might find that, if sipping neat, leaving it in the glass to settle may help this. After a while with some air in the bottle, we did notice that the drink had mellowed just enough for some more balancing sweetness to shine.

Smooth & mellow
A great sipping rye whiskey. Also good with mixers such as ginger or soda & lemon. A good price point for an introduction to a rye whiskey.

Loved it.
I paid double and three times the amount for some bourbons but this stuff is better than them all. I love this stuff. The scent, the taste, the after taste. Beautiful and cheap. I bought This and a pricey talisker at the same time and this is my favourite. But I'm not a fancy whisky drinker. I'm poor, uncultured and payed min wage but I really liked it. Othe people with finer pallets may not or enjoy it. But for me it was awesome. And 40 quid cheaper than what i nornally buy. This will be a regular on my payday shopping list

Rye,my favourite type of "bourbon."
As a scotch drinker, and sometimes bourbon for an alternative,a palate cleanser,of sorts,it took me a long time to find, let alone trry,Rye in the UK. I've had others, but this strikes me as among the best,if not THE best,I've had thus far,not as sweet as common or garden bourbon, which suits me.On offer,it's something to stock up on,at full price, though,I'll buy a decent malt instead. That's not a criticism of this, but merely my preference,if I'm paying over £30 a bottle, then it's Lagavulin,or Macallan,Highland Park,Laphroaig,Talisker, etc.but this is an excellent choice when reduced to a sensible price.

A great tasting rye whiskey
I like a rye whiskey from time to time. Bullet 95 fits the bill perfectly.
