It doesn't have any plastic part. The whole body is strong and quite sturdy. At the same time its not very heavy as well. You can fold it open and start using it. When not in use you can fold back and keep stacked at some corner. There is no assembly required. However, when open it takes up a lot of space. It's about 5ft when opened fully, which is good amount of space to hang clothes. The piece that I had got was too wobly but was okay when weight was put on it. Too bad that I had to return this product due to space issues.
