The Lysol Power Toilet Bowl Cleaner Gel (Max Coverage) has become my trusted product for deep-cleaning our toilets. I bought the 2-pack, and each 24 oz bottle goes a long way. This particular variant is bleach-free but still claims to kill 99.9% of germs, which is perfect for me because I’m not a huge fan of the strong bleach smell. The gel is a vivid blue color and thick enough to really cling to the bowl. The “Max Coverage” design isn’t just a gimmick – the nozzle dispenses a nice wide stream that coats under the rim and the sides of the bowl as you squeeze and circle it around. I usually let it sit for about 10 minutes to penetrate. There’s a bit of a chemical scent (to be expected), but it’s not overwhelming or super bleachy. Then I scrub with a toilet brush as usual. This cleaner has tackled everything I’ve thrown at it: mineral deposits, that yucky toilet ring, and general stains. One of our toilets had some persistent rust-colored staining near the water line (from iron in our water). After a couple of uses of Lysol Power, it significantly faded, and now with regular use, it’s completely gone. It cleans under the rim well too; I can see the gel sticking there while it works. I like that it’s thick, because even in the water, it doesn’t just immediately dilute – you can tell it’s grabbing onto grime and removing it. After cleaning, the toilet looks sparkling and smells clean (though the scent doesn’t linger too long, which is fine). The angled bottle is standard and works, and the cap clicks closed securely which is important with kiddos around. Overall, this is a potent toilet cleaner that doesn’t rely on bleach yet still disinfects and removes tough stains. It’s made one of my least favorite chores a bit quicker because I don’t have to scrub as hard – the cleaner does a lot of the heavy lifting. I’ll keep buying this for sure, as it keeps our toilets sanitary and shiny with minimal effort.

Reliable Brand: Lysol has been around forever for a reason. It's a trusted brand that consistently delivers on its promises. Why Not 5 Stars: Strong Chemical Smell: The scent is very strong and distinctly chemical. While it does indicate that it's working, the smell can be overwhelming and lingers in the bathroom for a while. If you're sensitive to strong odors or prefer more natural scents, this might bother you. I have to make sure the bathroom is well-ventilated when using it. Could Be More Eco-Friendly: In today's world, I'm trying to make more environmentally conscious choices where possible. While this cleaner works great, I wish there were more eco-friendly options with similar effectiveness from the brand. Bottle Size: Goes through it faster than expected with regular use. Would be nice to have a larger economy size option. Overall: This is a very effective toilet bowl cleaner that does what it promises - cleans thoroughly and disinfects well. The strong chemical smell is the main drawback for me, which is why I'm giving it 4 stars instead of 5. If you don't mind strong cleaning product scents and prioritize effectiveness over everything else, this would be a 5-star product. It gets the job done reliably, and I'll continue to use it, though I'd switch to a gentler-scented version if one becomes available with the same cleaning power.
