It is not too dark and bitter, has fruity notes and is great black. Also stands up well to cream or Oatmilk ,if dairy is not your thing. Unless you use a lot of sugar, you won't need sugar in this one.

I use these beans for making espresso. The flavor is strong and balanced, without any bitterness. I just received my second bag and will purchase more if it remains available.

Though I assume it is low altitude coffee (course grind makes it watery and less body) if you grind the beans fine you will get bean sap all over your grinder and frequently have to clean it. I found by roasting existing contents for an additional 8 minutes I was able to get a better body and alleviate the body concerns. I’m getting almost a French roast pea berry taste and with a fine grind my Krups auto drip knocks it out of the park. The blade grinder is better than the experience with the burr grinder in this case. With these tweaks it is world class. I sadly didn’t get any Kona taste but man it’s still good. I used the excess oil in cookie batter and it was worlds apart from any cookie I have ever made. There’s definitely promise here. I want to hate it but I love it.

I have ordered this coffee a few times . My plan is to keep ordering it as long as it continues to taste this good .So many coffee’s make a persons stomach ache, but this coffee does not do that to me or my husband .I recommend this coffee .

I paid $37 for this coffee. I saw it the next day at a Northern California Costco for $13. Same exact coffee and quantity. No Returns on this product, so no more of my business for this greedy reseller!

This was my favorite coffee but the price grew unbearably high. Switched to comparable San Francisco gourmet at half the price.

First I have to mention that I tend to make my coffee strong. I fill the coffee filter to the brim and always have the coffee maker set to bold. Death wish coffee comes close to how are usually brew it. I’m able to bring out that flavor with none of the bitterness with this coffee. The company also sent a follow-up email suggesting how to store coffee beans to retain the maximum flavor and freshness. It was a nice touch to a good product. I highly recommend it.
