Our new house had stood empty for a few months so the stair carpet had got a bit of a musty smell to it. Tried this rather than hire a carpet cleaner or have it done professionally. Kind of wish I hadn't wasted my time. You spread the foam onto the carpet to clean, however the solution loses its foam within a couple of minutes meaning you have to endlessly re-froth the soapy water to get enough foam to use. Was not wowed by the result either. Get some bicarb, brush that in, leave overnight and hoover up in the morning. You can even scent it with essential oils if you like.

Excellent product . Easy to use

I think this is just about the best cleaner on the market, but unfortunately the stain was so bad, it didn't get rid of it, even after using it twice. We ended up having to get a new carpet.
